I'll be playing Mass Effect, because I love Mass Effect (yes, even the third one).

But if I'm being honest, Persona 5 looks like the better game. So go with that one.

That was wonderful. Great job!

Out of curiosity, what was the song you used in the video? It sounded familiar, but I couldn't put my finger on it. Was it from Chrono Trigger?

I mean, it's hard to know without having played them. 28 seems like it could be enough, but it really depends on how substantial each game is. If there are a couple bangers in there, it might be worth it.

Still crazy that this isn't a pack-in.

I'm FINALLY playing The Witcher 3, and that game is as incredible as everyone says.

I did decide to play it on easy, which I think is the reason I'm sticking with it this time. When I tried it when it first came out, I just didn't have the time to invest in all of the story stuff, plus try to get good at the relatively difficult combat. I'm really loving it on easy though, because it's still difficult enough that you can't just mash your way through every encounter.

WHAT IS EVERYONE IN THIS THREAD TALKING ABOUT?!?!

Bad games don't get released anymore?! News to me, man. There are absolutely games that get released that are broken on a technical level. Or maybe are boring. Or maybe fail to make the statement they are trying to make. Or are too short.

Are reviews becoming less useful now that we have hours of gameplay footage available for any given game? Sure. But I certainly don't have time to watch hours (or even 20 minutes sometimes) of gameplay for every single game I'm interested in. So I turn to written reviews from writers and outlets I know I can trust.

And sometimes it can be fun to read reviews! A good take down of a terrible game can be hilarious. A review about a game the writer has a strong personal connection to can be insightful (e.g. Austin Walker's review of Galak-Z on this very site).

So I don't know what everyone in this thread is on about. Maybe they have infinite time to watch gameplay videos. Or maybe every game they play is amazing. Or maybe they hate thoughtful discussion on games. I don't know.

So anyway OP, let me ACTUALLY answer your question. Usually I read:

Game Informer

Polygon

Giant Bomb

This is obviously contingent on the person writing the review, as there are folks from each establishment that I agree with more than others.

Edit: I also have really like Waypoint so far, though they don't really write formal reviews, so I didn't include them in my list

Edit2: I wrote this rant when there were 3 replies to this post, and they were all variations on "meh, reviews, who needs em?!" So sorry if it seems like I flipped my lid a bit

She's totally coming over to Giantbomb. The timing and her announcement seem too coincidental.

I'd be shocked otherwise.

You will be shocked.

Hey guys and gals, I think I want to play Dead Rising 4. Hearing Brad talk about it on the podcast made me want to give it a shot.

Question is, should I grab it on PC or Xbox? Are there any known issues for either version? I'm tempted to buy it on the Xbox so I can enjoy it on my nice new big TV, and I can also continue to avoid buying anything on the Windows store. But if it's nicely optimized for PC, I can be persuaded the other way.

My PC is relatively high-end, so specs aren't a concern there.

Thanks in advance for you help!

Well for one, Will Smith already has a job that he seems to like, in a field that he's passionate about. Not sure what Norm is up to these days, but I'm sure he's equally busy at Tested. Maybe they could make time to host a TV show? I kind of doubt it though, seems like something that would be a full time gig.

Also, I can't imagine the difficulty of having to communicate to an audience that Myth Busters is now hosted by a guy named Will Smith, but not THAT Will Smith, without a bunch of people getting confused.

Would absolutely be fun to see them host though.

@squidc00kie:I've got one. Mine is also in a big empty room, so room scale works great for me.

Listen, it's really expensive. Even after the initial $800, the software is shockingly expensive for how simple it is. It is super cool though, and if you have are in a situation where you have a lot of disposable income, you should definitely grab one, because it feels like you're in the future.

But if $800+$150 in software is a ton of money to you, I would wait until they become a little more affordable, and get yourself a nice monitor instead.

Just one man's opinion though.
