It's a ton of fun, but I've already had the updates reset all my progress more than once, and even though they give you enough to re-purchase everything doing that just doesn't feel the same. Since this is such a progression-based roguelike, I'm ready to just wait for the full game to come out so I can enjoy it all in one go. Really excited for it, what I've played has been awesome.

For what it's worth, Tim Sweeney has acknowledged it:

Despite announcing that progression and levels from Hitman 1 and 2 would carry over into Hitman 3 for free, IO announced today that that actually is only the case on Xbox and Playstation - even if you own both games on Steam, you'll have to pay to access those levels when purchasing through the Epic Games Store on PC. While they do "acknowledge that the process is different to our initial plans for PC players", they really should update their homepage.

Kind of a bummer! At least you can easily cancel Epic pre-orders, but still, hell of a time to announce that this is now a paid thing. Hitman 1 will be free if you purchase the game within 10 days of launch, and the base and Gold editions of Hitman 2 will be 80% off for two weeks, but it sounds like the expansion pass will still be full price. It's all in here, and, as someone who was until now very very excited for Hitman 3, kinda sucks.

That's all nice but keep in mind he's also directly opposed to just about every progressive policy proposal.

Man I wish I got what people see in Darby

Having played about 200 hours of these games between Origins and Odyssey, I'm shocked at how much they continue to refine these. They just keep getting better and better.

That PAC return would've been way more effective if they didn't have that vignette last week. Expected it as soon as they said Penta/Fenix would close the show.

I dunno, Sony has games that I can only play on a PS5, Xbox is like, hey, good chance you already have something that'll play all this. Makes the decision much easier for me!
