I've always rather liked the art-style of these games, though I do not pretend to actually played the Dishwasher or Vampire Smile. Salt and Sanctuary I liked a lot with it's deliberate approach to combat, but fell off at some point, maybe two thirds thru.
From what I see here, I am purchasing this game, probably soon. But I have so much on my plate with Elden Ring and other games, so getting to another Dark Souls like may be a while.
I goes towards confirming my thought of either skipping this one, or waiting for a sale. I did like Far-Cry 4, outside of the fact that the good guy motivation wasn't there except in the relative to the villain sense. But I liked the honestly of that, at least in concept. I really enjoyed the Far Cry formula in that game, also.
Not so much for Far Cry 5, however. This doesn't seem to be more Far Cry 5, but from what Rorie writes here, and other material I've read and heard. I am not in a great hurry. I saw the QL also, and it just didn't click for me. But I might enjoy it more playing it. I do bet I end up purchasing it.
Edit; a few weeks later and nope, becoming less and less inclined.
Lol, Jeff has (soon to be had) the same garage door opener and really by appearance the roof looks as mine. Heard the plane overhead, I get helicopters myself. Freeway nearby and some other stuff is the draw.
The series of Souls games have been done before, and I have also rolled around in these games for years, minus Bloodborne. And too be honest, I was saving the Re-done Demon Souls for my own experience rather then wanting to watch another play it.
But I so do enjoy watching Danny's play, and even more so the back and forth between Danny and Tamoor. Tamoor alone is good exposure for me. In the usual Internet Show one-way convo, I have taken a liking to him. Danny, who I know in the same way but for a decade or so, has put together presentation and approach that I just cannot do without, at least on a Monday. He knows what he is doing. I'm not ranking new shows on GB, I think I have if nothing else aged past much or most of it, anyways.
But this show does work, for me. If they got bored and decided to explore some other game(s) or franchise, I do think I would be there.
Mercury was used as a remedy for syphilis back in the dumb f**k days, medically speaking. Gen Custer, of Custer's last stand, was reputed to have taken the Mercury cure, for example. I think it had been in use for several hundred years before penicillin.
I went yelling Chest! Chest! when Danny went passed one, but I remembered this isn't a true let's play/endurance run. It is edited, and by this time for me, probably the best for it. I wasn't even wanting to watch this, but I am waiting for Demon Souls to show up on pc. So it's going to be a while.
3 things I didn't like by Bluepoint, and preferred the originals. The Black Maidens voice, the appearance of the Momumental, and the accompanied music to the Tower Knight. The original music to me was rather unique, and I did like it for that.
