I didn't play as a mage myself, but I didn't find the game that stingy with stuff.

I have to wear glasses anytime, not when I am just playing games. Actually when I was first made to wear glasses I was only supposed to use them for reading, watching TV and playing games. The doctor said I would eventually out grow the need to wear them. Only problem is once I put them on I would forget to take them off. As a result my eyes adapted to wearing them no I can't see shit without them. Stupid games.
