I seriously hope this trials goes well cause DSL connections are killing me. They charge business class prices in our area for speeds that top out at 1 Mbps because they say I live in a 'at risk' area. What kind of crap is that?

Same. Have the "extreme business class" tier and it's still slow as hell (supposed to be running at six to eight megabytes, but I'm lucky if it ever gets to one) and far too restrictive (140GB goes fast in a large house-hold). It's a rip-off.

I, for one, accept our soon-to-be Google overlords.

I got a hold of Amnesia in the last Humble Bundle and so I feel like I have to play it now. Really not looking forward to it because I just know I'm going to lose days worth of sleep.

I feel like a dick for saying this, but I'm tired of hearing about Gamespot in relation to Giant Bomb. On the podcast, in videos and livestreams. I just cant reconcile the two. It seems that after CBSi bought GB it was OK for them to mention GS on the podcast and they have nearly every single episode since, but not before. It just seems weird to me. And the footer at the bottom of the page still bugs me. Gamespot logo since nearly day one of the buyout and up till just recently, GS had no reciprocating link back. Now all they have is a small text only GB link next to Metacritic. Sorry if this was OT but its been on my mind.

They do now, actually. It's in the footer.

EDIT: Gah. Misread. Didn't see the bolded part.

I love how the chosen quote from patent says nothing about what the patent is for.

a system and method ... for preventing unauthorized access to electronic data stored on an electronic device.

What could it be?!

Jeff did say it was mostly Sega people that gave him the most trouble in the past. They probably still blame him for Dreamcast not living up to its potential.

These are amazing though, like the Atari emails Patrick linked to recently. Nothing ever changes.

Atari e-mails?

Ah, cool. Thanks!
