Dead Space 3: Awakened is Typical EA BS

Dead Space 3 is a weird game. I personally loved the original and thought the second game was alright even though it had one too many scripted action sequences for my tastes. I was looking forward to the third game simply for the continuation of the story (which ends up being the absolute worst part of it). Since this isn't the point in question, I'll just say Dead Space 3 was an incredibly mediocre game that is too scared to do anything cool and original while sticking to the action tropes of the second game.
I remember first hearing about the post-launch DLC (unlike the disgraceful microtransactions which have plagued the game since Day 1), Visceral pointed out how they were creating a disturbing piece of downloadable content before the game was even released. So obviously they have been planning the release of this game for a while now, definitely before Dead Space 3's final release.
Now let's start with the fact that DS3 had a trash ending that was obviously pulled out of Visceral's ass at the last minute.
But no, apparently it ISN'T the ending of Dead Space 3, because this crazy new piece of DLC called "Awakened" continues the story after the conclusion of the original game. Now this is bullshit. Last time I checked, when I payed $60 for this game I expected the full experience. Obviously I didn't. Obviously I bought a game that wasn't the complete experience and I was ripped off and completely shat on by EA and Visceral.
The big outlying problem for me that everyone seems to just blow off and forget about. The DLC was announced a week before the game even came out. This puts a sour taste in my mouth and pisses me off to no end.
Absolute typical EA bullshit. Let's forget about the fact that they fucked up SimCity and they fucked up Mass Effect 3's multiplayer. That they added microtransactions to a wannabe horror action game and can't stop sounding like bigger and bigger assholes by stating that they are adding microtransactions into all their games (even though they retract that statement, it was still said) and saying how they would make their games more expensive if they could.
They ALSO decided adding some crap "true ending" DLC to Dead Space 3 and having the gall to announce it BEFORE THE GAME IS EVEN RELEASED. You could say they never stated that it was going to be the "Awakened" DLC that it is talking about something else. But don't give me that crap. You have seen how much they've touted that Awakened is "a return to true horror" and such (which we all know is probably another thing pulled out of Visceral's ass to get more loyal fans to get hyped over it). So there's not much to say that it isn't the "disturbing" piece of content they've been bragging about since pre-release.
Now, I would like to point out that I am not saying that EA are not within their rights to do this. They can do it as much as they want. And why shouldn't they? If I could get away with ripping off everyone who bought my products I'd sure as hell do it aswell. It's our fault for supporting this kind of stuff and allowing it to happen.
Just a bad opinion coming from a self-entitled asshole. But I could care less, go ahead and hate me for it. Dead Space 3: Awakened is bullshit, and you shouldn't expect anything less from EA.
