It kind of reminds me of the old DnD arcade games like Dungeons & Dragons: Shadow Over Mystara  and Dungeons and Dragons: Tower of Doom which were still great games and they had pre-made characters...

Honestly Mortal Kombat is a better "game" than Super Street Fighter IV but, maybe not the better "Fighting Game". However it's no slouch, this version of Mortal Kombat has a lot more depth then people want to see and just toss it aside as "LOL BLOOD!!!!". It has ALOT more to do offline, the BEST Story any fighting game has ever had, a Challenge Tower in which you actually have to learn the characters they give you to get past it as apposed to Street Fighter that just has "Yo do this combo that is completely useless and you'll never do in a real match..."

They both have an Arcade/Ladder mode but, in Mortal Kombat there are (like all the other MKs in the past) secrets that you get for doing certain things, while Street Fighter is more traditional, just fight these dude and you're done.

Online right now from what I can see... Street Fighter has a lot of people who know what they are doing and will beat you silly. Mortal Kombat... Almost EVERYONE is HORRIBLE... In 70+ games I've run in 1 guy who knew how to play... 1! So getting MK would be better since EVERYONE is still learning the game and you'll get to grow into it. Street Fighter... That's just gonna be a up hill battle the whole time. However, not matter which game you pick expect alot of Ryu/Ken (Street Fighter) and Scorpion (MK) but, that's just how fighting games are I guess haha XD

Honestly it's still up to you, if you want "Tradition" get Street Fighter, if you want something on the "Crazy" side get Mortal Kombat. Either way you'll enjoy both! They're both great games!

Well what is better... A list of impossible combos, that are impractical and not very fun to try? Or a Challenge Tower that forces you to learn your character to be able to get past challenges, thus leading to you learning combos you'll actually be comfortable doing, making you a better player?

Honestly I wouldn't mind all these Scorpions if... They did a combo better than Spear, Uppercut or Spear, Throw... Sigh...

Use more skill... I'm serious I had no problems with Challenge Tower at all. Sure the AI can get crazy some times but... it's CHALLENGE Tower, not... Easy Mode You Win Everything Tower. Also Test Your Might was laughable in this game...

Tho I do agree the prize was kinda... Bleh! But the Klassic costumes shouldn't be unlocked since they are pre-order bonuses... Why would they bother going through the pre-order stuff if they're all in the game any way? Then again I WISH Cyber Reptile was his Alt :3

All in all, the Challenge tower forces you to either "cheese" it or actually get good at the game with EVERY character and is a much better Challenge mode then the Trials in SSFIV and Missions in MvC3, that just force you to do a really hard combo and add no story or interesting things to it.

This game really isn't that hard... You just need to learn what fools the boss AI... For the most part jump over and combo works great, just don't go into a mindless pattern or else you'll fail. Just figure out what move they do that'll leave them open and what won't.

You jumped over Kintaro and he did a ground fire ball? DON'T ATTACK! He instantly recovers from it. You jumped over Kintaro and he did his flamethrower move? KILL IT!!!

You just gotta learn, I've done all the Challenge Tower, beat Arcade with everyone and did all of Story Mode... It's not THAT bad >.>

Way I beat most bosses in this game... Jump over them, they miss attack, combo them... Rinse repeat >.>
