I've enjoyed TownScaper as a time filler, for sure. As a complete inverse to you though, @rorie is I've dumped 50 hours into Spelunky 2. Met Olmec 4(?) times, and not beaten him once. Spelunky 2 may become my white whale.
@alex You don't need to apologise or justify your sadness at the loss of Thelma & Baron. I had a similar year (in regards to pets, at least), losing my dog of some 12 years. They're a family member, whether they speak the same language or not. Pet people understand this. I had a feeling from what you'd said over 2020, this list, like Spiritfarer, would be affecting to me as well. But here I am, sobbing at a GOTY list.
You have my sympathies, my empathy, and my platonic love, duder.
Really enjoyed the first Darksiders (until you got the portal gun, and it kinda ruined the whole vibe for me). I did miss the second one; but I'm almost certainly passing on this one. It's gone from a "mature" Zelda game to a "mature" Zelda type game, with Dante's Inferno premise and an in-vogue Dark Souls twist thrown in.
Looks like it's trying too hard to do too many things. Shame.
