This is kind of a relief. I've got a huge backlog of games from this year (Alien, Shadow of Mordor, etc.) So Ubisoft removing the only method I use (besides GoG) to buy their game is saving me some money.
Still $100 from an impulse buy and $50 too much without a "killer app" for me. The tablet controller is the WiiU's greatest differentiator and it's Achilles heel. It keeps the price up because they have to pack it in...and I couldn't care less about anything the tablet offers. They need to just offer a $199 pack sans tablet...but they never would.
I was interested it in finding out what it was as well. I thought I was going crazy during last week's Bombcast when they were talking about a new game called Proteus and I kept thinking they meant "Parodius." That was freaking me out, me going "how the hell have none of them played 'Parodius' or know what it is."
Whatever it takes to stay making great content. Hell, I'd be down for a $100 or $200 subscription level. A yearly sub is current less than a 360 game...and I get way more content and quality entertainment over the course of a year than a single game.
Indoctrination theory is shit to me not because it might be implausible or something, it migh very well be true. But this theory removes the end completely. There is no end. Reapers be reaping. The epic conclusion to the trilogy has no final conclusion.
Yep and you've pinpointed the reason for the negative reaction to the ending. It was shit...and (arguably) the most well thought out alternative means they didn't finish the game. Either way, we got the shaft. Be it from an incoherent mess of an ending that doesn't follow the internal logic/tone of the series and discards the core tenant of the series (cause-effect). Or a false-ending that is cashing in on the goodwill of the fan-base for extra publicity and exposure while they prep the DLC true-ending.
