That sucks, I usually avoid horror in general as it affects me quite strongly but this sounded really interesting. I would have definitely given it a go.
It's got better atmosphere and a much better soundtrack than Dark Souls.
Individually some areas are incredible and beat anything in Dark Souls but i prefer Dark Souls' world as a whole and it's structure.
I much prefer the way magic works in Demon's Souls but the choices of spells is more limited as is the choice of gear.
World tendency can go fuck itself HARD.
All in all both games have their strengths and weaknesses. I still like Dark Souls the best but Demon's Souls is something special.
Both shit all over Dark Souls II.
I agree with you wholeheartedly, particularly when it comes to the soundtrack. It's one of my favorite if not favorite videogame soundtrack of all time. Shunsuke Kida is the real deal!
This has been on my mind lately too, and I do find it somewhat concerning. Kind of glad I haven't invested in a current gen. console so far, and I'm pretty happy about my Wii U too (yes, I also find it weird that I'm not sure I consider the Wii U current gen.).
So far still intend to make the leap to PC when I've got the money.
thanks for the help guys, i figured it out. turns out I'm just stupid and just got hung up on the fact that I didn't see those baddies outside of the frigate which didn't matter at all. just got inside the frigate and man this is some great music. loving the game!
Good to hear! Metroid Prime is my personal "best game of all time" (Dark Souls gives it a run for it's money though). I felt that way from the moment I finished it over a decade ago and I still think it's perfect.
I hold the exact same opinion as you, are we the same person?
Yeah, I generally want my character's name to fit within the game world. Most games make it pretty clear what historical era or mythology they draw their inspiration from (the original Guild Wars expansions where pretty inspired by Greece, Egypt and China for example), so I tend to spend a couple of hours to look up common names from that era and put together some combination I think fits. I do have a go-to name for games where a nordic name fits, but I generally care less about having a character with a specific name than a character whose name is consistent with the NPC naming conventions.
This tends to be what I follow more too, I do have go to names but they also tend to adhere to the lore of the world.
How disappointing, I was really hoping they'd make a great sequel by improving on the previous game's shortcomings and reinforcing its strong points. Alas, instead we're going to get half a game filled with micro-transactions. I guess this means there won't be a real sequel to Dragon's Dogma. God damn it, I really hope that's not true... :(
Yeah actually there was one or two in season 1 that didn't go through for me on Steam, and I know I got them. Didn't care that much but it did always nag at me, knowing that I had fulfilled the criteria.
