Hi-rez has already been messing this one up. Im so done with this studio.
Remember when Tribes Ascend first came out and it was a really cool thing that showed promise for the studio? And then they went and mucked that up as well.
This is a game I don't think anyone in their right mind would play if not cheered on by friends and community. I have such little tolerance for the crap this game pulls with knowing to do random thing X in location Y. Hopefully, MG2 is a bit more polished and leaves behind the Castlevania 2 nonsense. That said, this series is a blast and I'm glad the crew is soldering through a game I would otherwise never see for myself. Yet, I echo Abby's disgust at the game's absolute crap it pulls. To be fair, Legend of Zelda is no less cryptic (and I'm not a fan because of this).
I have to disagree about Zelda not being less cryptic. Most of the stuff you encounter in that game is pretty easy to figure out and doesn't just omit information for the sake of being mysterious.
@overbite: My problem with Sonic games has always been it's main selling point. The idea of a video game protagonist that can go really fast sounds cool on paper but in terms of actually controlling the game it just doesn't do anything for me. I'm either watching him run really quick while I hold the controller and do nothing or i'm controlling him and not having that much fun since Sonic never really controlled that smoothly. Still this game seems to be a great return to the roots of the series so I'm glad they made this instead of Sonic the Hedgehog 5.
