"Please don't look at me, I'M SO ASHAMED!!" or "The quest to regain my status as a gamer."

I grew up playing video games a certain way... partially. Now, I would like to tell you that I have a good reason for not finishing most of the games I play, but I don't. I have spent the last few days looking through my "collection" of games and picked out the best games I haven't competed. As a result of the shame I feel from merely knowing this list exists I am embarking on a journey of re-discovery. I will be going through this list, in no particular order, and picking a game to erase from this realm. Until I do feel free to mock me, I deserve it.

1. Blaster Master

I played this game for HOURS and HOURS but I just could not beat the TOAD BOSS.
2. The Legend of Zelda

Every time I played this game I got lost. I was young, shut up!
3. Zelda II: The Adventure of Link

This and Dragon Warrior have got to be my fondest memories of the NES. Haven't beaten either one...
On a side note: FUCK YOU SHADOW LINK!
4. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

I know. Here is my Gamer Card. I'll reclaim it after I beat this classic.
5. Super Mario Bros.

Could never beat Bowser.
I. HATE. HAMMERS.
6. Super Mario Bros. 2

Some of the best music of all time. You may quote me on this. Think I made it to the cloud world.
7. Super Mario 64

8. Dragon Warrior

This game made me love RPGs. Made it all the way to the final boss but couldn't beat his second form.
9. Dragon Warrior II

10. Dragon Warrior III

Bought it. Never played it.
11. Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen

Loved the "Chapter" notion, and getting to play with the different parties was, and is, cool.
12. Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride

Got the DS version but I have a few games ahead of it in the line-up.
13. Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation

See above.
14. Final Fantasy III

Currently on a play through. Kinda challenging, but I love it so far.
15. Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection

This one will take a while. FF4 and the Interlude + the After Years. I think I got about 1/2 through this gem.
16. Final Fantasy VII

BLASPHEMY!
17. Final Fantasy VIII

I really liked what I played in FF8.
18. Final Fantasy IX

Call back to the RPGs of yore. This game had me on the floor in a puddle of nostalgia when I was playing it. Progress level: 75%. This one, and the Legend of Mana stick out to me. It is still a mystery as to why I haven't finished them.
19. Final Fantasy X

I thought, "Yes! Final Fantasy on the PS2!" I couldn't get past how trapped I felt when I played it. Never got very far in this one.
20. Radiant Historia

Picked this up on a recommendation.
21. Monster Hunter Tri

Can you really "beat" this one? Can you?
22. The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

My first open world western RPG. I have to tell you, at first I didn't like it. After going back and restarting it I can now see I was dumb.
23. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Woohoohoo! Man alive I LOVE THIS GAME! Currently in the middle of a play through.
24. Demon's Souls

Got into the craze. Got my impatient ass handed to me. Now I play this game

25. Dark Souls

I created a character...
26. Suikoden

So many people to track down. The army battles are what prevented me from completing it.
27. Suikoden V

I had never played a Suikoden title until this one. Went back and started to pick up all the previous entries. I still don't own #2.
28. God of War

Action abundance. Sadly it wasn't a boss that made me rage quit, it was a log.
29. God of War II

Was gonna get around to this after I beat the first one.
30. Halo 3: ODST

I forgot I owned this game.
31. Gears of War 2

Me and a buddy were planning on playing through this series together. We got about 50% of the way, and stopped for some reason. I'm blaming him for this one.
32. Dead Space

I hate creepy and/or scary games but I picked this one up anyway. Way to go dingus.
33. BioShock

I thought the story sounded interesting after hearing a friend on mine go on about it. He forgot to tell me, or I blocked out the part when he did tell me, that it was kinda creepy.
34. Secret of Mana

Ah 16-bit goodness. I am starting to think I have too many classics on this list to continue to call myself a gamer.
35. Legend of Mana

~80% of the way done. AAAAHHH!!!
But seriously, why did I stop? I can't remember.
36. Half-Life

In my defense I just recently pick up this game in a Steam sale. I really never had a gaming PC when I was younger.

38. Deus Ex

Heard it was good and bought it. Still have yet to fire it up.
39. Deus Ex: Human Revolution

Got it on the PS3 and the PC, haven't beaten either copy. Money well spent...
40. Shadow of the Colossus

I hate it when I come upon good games well after they are recognized. I have been able to stay relatively spoiler free with this game. The problem is I am scared that it won't hold up to the praise.
41. Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete

I think I played the Lunar series out of order.
42. Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete

I remember this game being hard.
43. The Witcher

This was one of those games I read about, kept up with and generally was just interested in, but I didn't want to shell out the money to upgrade my PC. Now I own it and can play it, but I don't.
44. The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings

Fallen victim to the "I have the first one but never beaten it" curse. Although with my track record I couldn't tell you with any certainty if I would have finished it had I completed the first one.
45. Fallout

This one will be completed. FACT!
46. Fallout 2

This one will be completed also. DOUBLE FACT!
47. Fallout 3

Soon my Wasteland Survival Guide will be ready for all the former Vault Dwellers.
48. Fallout: New Vegas

Finally a Western RPG went, well... Western :)
49. Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn

I LOVED Baldur's Gate. One of my favorite games ever. I tried to play Baldur's Gate II but it some issues with Win 7. Specifically when I saved it would crash. Still haven't gotten back to it.
50. Planescape: Torment
