Alex, buddy. Totally ok with you running through a save just before that choice that killed Tali if you want to. Not going to spoil anything, but there is some MAJOR stuff Tali is involved in for ME3. And a scene in particular that I was looking forward to you seeing when you first started this adventure.
I understand if you are going to keep the save as is and I respect that.
@drjonez: I like them as is. If they ever finally win one I want it to be in the dumbest and luckiest way possible and in no way related to skill. That's exactly what makes this feature great.
I never really understood why people get frustrated by how others play a video game.
I can see why the guys played this all in one go secretly. Shenmue fans fucking LOVE Shenmue, lol.
I feel like everyone that is enjoying this endurance run has either never played Shenmue or didn't like it. And everyone that finds this endurance run and how Vinny is playing it frustrating are the ones who really love Shenmue.
But I guess that's how the P4 and Chrono Trigger endurance runs were. People who's games they love get played how they didn't play it or get shit on because the crew doesn't like it frustrates them.
I never really got why that upsets people, though. Personally Majoras Mask is my second favorite game of all time. Jeff and Brad shit on it constantly, but it never bothers me one bit. And you know what? I'd kill to see a Brad and Jeff Majoras Mask endurance run. That'd be hilarious. I love it when the guys sound like they're dying on the inside, lol. That's what the entire Mario Party Party series is about.
I could chalk up the not being able to skip time design choice as a "year 2000" design choice, but Majoras Mask had a skip time option in it and that was out the same year.
If Shenmue 3 is the same shit, please for the love of God I hope they put some modern design choices in there. It pains me to see Vinny become impatient because he's usually the most patient of the crew lol.
@alavapenguin: I get where you're coming from, but personally I like that there are very loose "rules". The fact that the rules somehow change every time makes it a bigger shit show that I tend to find more entertaining. Giantbomb has never been about professionalism to me.
That said, if there were concrete rules in place from here on out I'd be fine with that too. Especially if it makes other viewers enjoy it more. But, as of right now I'm not bothered by this. I just enjoy watching their runs, watching them fail or succeed with style and then them argue afterwards.
More Star Fox 64 is what I want from this. I definitely won't be getting this for $60 though. I have a GCU membership at Best Buy so that will knock it down to $48, then I have $35 worth or gift cards so hey, $13 for two games is not bad at all.
Personally I'd love to see them give Star Fox Adventures another try. Maybe just have way more crazier weapons like Ratchet and Clank style with traditional Star Fox levels in between planets.
If I can just get a full length traditional Star Fox game spread throughout a better more thought out version of Adventures then I'd be all over that.
