I sat down to play this tonite expecting to save and go to bed and continue tomorrow. Didn't happen.

The story is awesome, I even dare say it gave me a little tear at one part in the game. It isn't very long at all, perhaps two-and-a-half to three hours max. The puzzles are a little on the easy side, which for me was not a problem (I'm not a puzzle kind of guy). Even if you do find yourself stuck on a puzzle, there is a handy hint system in place that will slowly guide you on what your next course of action should be.

Dunno if it's worth 25 bucks, but all in all I'm glad I got the game.

Wow, took me 12 hours. But there was a lot of drinking and walking away to pee and such involved hehe.  Did you guys watch the full credits? I always watch them since I got an achievement for watching them on a game once...but man the SC ones were TWENTY MINUTES LONG!!

Talking of the Iraq mission, I enjoyed it because it mixed things up a bit, but I do agree that the last couple missions in the game were all enemies storming you and the player having to back up, assess the situation, then act. I haven't enjoyed the multiplayer yet but I can't wait! I may have beat this in one day but I still feel that my money was well spent.

A lot of people aren't super happy about the length of Splinter Cell (SC).  Something I don't think folks realize when it comes to game length is that it has to be insanely hard to come up with so many hours of content, especially with a game like SC. I mean if you think about it, an action movie of this magnitude would only be an hour and a half to two hours max, so you really have to appreciate what the writers come up with to stretch the games out.    Thoughts?

Through most of the White House. I kinda feel cheated that the game is so short, but at the same time I like it because I don't lose interest because of an insanely long game. But I do have the whole coop campaign to go through so I guess I'm good to go. :) Something I don't think folks realize when it comes to game length is that it has to be insanely hard to come up with so many hours of content, especially with a game like SS. I mean if you think about it, an action movie of this magnitude would only be an hour and a half to two hours max, so you really have to appreciate what the writers come up with to stretch the games out.

!!!!SPOILER WARNING!!!!

Just curious how close I am to the end of this excellent game? I'm at the point where I just met my daughter and our helo got blown out of the sky. I'm required to leave the theater. Am I close, am I am I?

I can't stop playing the game. I've played every game in the series but they haven't held my attention long enough to complete them like this one has. I'm having a blast!

Okay, it's evident that I shouldn't have posted my opinion. I was just trying to share an opinion and garner feedback. The post wasn't meant to start a flamewar.

Really?

From my original post: "   Forgive me if I offend you but this is just my general assumption. I reserve my final judgement of the game until it's in my hands. "

I also said I didn't mean to offend anyone, take my opinion with a  grain of salt. I was just sharing my thoughts.

I've been thinking a little something lately. Something that's hard to share when around a mob of gamers for fear of being mauled...

I'm just not that interested in God of War III. *ducks and covers*

I just don't see what is so new about the game. I played the demo, and while it is a visually stunning game, I just don't see it bringing anything new to the series. Then again, I say that with extreme caution as I haven't followed up on the game enough to know if the developers have claimed such a feat. From what I can tell, it has the same controls as the previous games in the series with nothing really standing out as new or innovative.

From my perspective it's the same very polished, albeit shallow, game that it has always been. Forgive me if I offend you but this is just my general assumption. I reserve my final judgement of the game until it's in my hands.

Is there anyone out there that shares my feelings on the matter, or am I just the only crazy gamer-mutant hybrid that  isn't excited about this game?
