The World Ends With You -Solo Remix- should be out on the North American app store soon, assuming that's where you are of course. I can't really recommend it from knowledge, both due to not playing Solo Remix and the fact that there's some new features and a changed battle system, but the soundtrack is pretty great and the original is one of my top DS games, so what could go wrong?

I noticed something about the music while fiddling with the links to the sound. The 6 days music is just the intro and a drum beat, the 5 days music adds the Calling music, the 4 days music adds some instrumentation from Twister, and the 3 days music adds the vocals from Calling in. That's an interesting way to do things!
Man, am I ever glad I had my headphones on for that. Some of those voice clips without context could easily get me a few funny looks from people.
Personally though, I don't really hear much of an accent. Maybe that's just me being from Canada and all.
I think you're on to something here duder! Why not take a break from one of the best engines out there? I mean, it's not like Valve updates that engine every couple of days or anything so they can continue making some of the best games out there. In all seriousness though, I don't think Valve would really outsource, and I don't think they would want to put out any money for other companies engines when they already have one that they know inside and out and can easily modify at any time for their needs, rather than work against the limits of other engines and spent months learning the new one/s. Valve games already take for goddamn ever to come out, I don't really feel a need to make that time longer.
I haven't played the demo, but the game throws some interesting powers at you, some of the bosses are pretty fun, and the story is pretty good from what I've seen so far. It's not a game for everyone, but I'm enjoying it.
