It's that time again...

This week's primary work was the Battle Heat entry. The game is actually pretty boring, although one strives to maintain a positive tone in all of one's entries!
Next up is probably some more PC Engine stuff (Probably Cotton or some random old Hucard games); stuff for the Cutey Honey FX game is coming too, but I haven't played through the game in ages and am in the process of doing so as a refresher. But who cares about any of that? The only things that really matters are chicken and cherry trees.

Pollo alle melograne

1 chicken (about 3 1/2 pounds, or an equivalent number of chicken parts of your choosing!)
1 tablespoon (1/2 ounce) sweet butter
salt and freshly ground black pepper
5 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup dry white wine
A large pinch of ground cinnamon
Freshly grated nutmeg
1 to 2 cups chicken broth
2 large pomegranates
A pinch of ground ginger

Cut the chicken in to pieces. Rub with the tablespoon of butter and sprinkle with some salt and pepper.
Heat the oil in a frying pan over a medium heat and when the oil is warm, saute the chicken. Add the wine and let it evaporate for about 5-10 minutes.
Season with salt and pepper, then add the cinnamon and a pinch of nutmeg. Start adding small amounts of the broth, turning the chicken and adding more broth as needed. Peel the pomegranates and retain the seeds. When the chicken is cooked, add the seeds and mix well, stirring constantly so the seeds don't burn and stick to the pan! Add a little more salt and pepper if you think it's necessary. Before serving, sprinkle the ginger over the chicken. Enjoy this renaissance dish!
