I've played it. It's not as bad as just a straight port with the mouse=left stick but it's close. Most of the time it wasn't an issue but there were definitely some times I wished I had a mouse. I had some sound problems as well.

And yeah, it's not very long. It also doesn't have much replay value. The story is great though, and some of the puzzles are challenging.

I think it's more like "if our game won't get a good review than maybe we might consider not advertising on your site/in your magazine" than outright bribes.  
 
It definately happens but I think it probably happens less often than you'd think.
