I have very fond memories from Screened and was bummed that it never took off in popularity. For a team that small you created a lot of nicely produced content, but now I realize that's because you worked yourselves to the bones and that will never last too long.
I wonder if Screened would've survived better if it was launched some years later when longer form Youtube reviews (like Half in the Bag), more relaxed productions like streaming, more analytical video essays (like Nerdwriter, Folding Ideas), became more popular.
I'm glad Alex and Matt are still around and, seemingly, have much better working conditions today. (Although, trucking from Prague to St Petersburg is a long drive.)
This was a really fun stream to watch live. So slow driving yet so intense. Shout out to all the trees who willingly gave their lives so Alex could get to a watchtower.
Great to hear you're putting safety above all else and are willing to take precautions even if it's a huge inconvenience for you. Sure hope more people could think like that... then maybe this mess wouldn't have happened at all?!?
Take care and hope to see you soon (in a mildly lower bitrate)
Point-and-click games are mostly dead but I love Puzzle Agent 1 and 2 (it's a goofy Twin Peaks cartoon parody with great puzzles). I also love The Room series. Don't know how well they work in co-op, but I love them.
@monkeyking1969: As a fellow Redlettermedia fan I've figured out that shameless rip-offs were, and still is, a thing. If you want, or wanted, to be a bigger deal you go bigger and more crazy.
When I was about 15 years old I read the comic Ed the Happy Clown. I thought to myself 'anyone could write this shit'. Needless to say, it was very hard to write that shit.
