The Jeanette/Therese painting is one of my favorite things in the game, so terrifically creepy, especially in context of their story.

I believe the above is correct, the stat boosts won't depend on which skills you leveled, and a lot of the harder/sillier skills to level like Athletics, Swimming and Acrobatics have been removed. You might still need to cap Axe, Sword, etc. to actually reach max level, but if enemy levels scale there should be little incentive to do so.

If you're playing Oblivion on PC there are a ton of leveling mods that turn it into more of an xp style system in which you put points into skills instead of leveling them through practice. I play Morrowind and Oblivion with Notepad open, noting when I gain skills, which is a minmaxer curse and looking at it from the outside is pretty silly design.

I'd like to see more cross-site personality stuff. I don't care about comic books but Tony and Sara are alright, for example, so it would be cool to have the crews together for segments about whatever. Structure killed Happy Hour, not having to stick to particular segments would help keep it fresh I think.

Really really really great links at the end Patrick. Stunned at the Infinity Blade review.

If you wanna be a snobby asshole you can say that smart people go to the University immedeatly

love it.

On topic, if you're considering a good university vs. a community college, be prepared for the fact that CC is essentially high school part II. For general education liberal studies type stuff you can usually get away without doing much of the reading and just bullshitting written work because so many people around you are so far removed from any sort of real academic ambition, they're just going to school because that's what you're supposed to do. That said, plenty of 19 and 20 year-olds at universities act the same way, the difference is at a university they're C students where at a community college they get As.

In short, if you've got the maturity to handle going through what is essentially a bullshit experience (gen ed classes at a community college) while still being motivated to get a proper education afterwards, do it to save the money. If you think a couple years of blowing off school is going to stifle your momentum, jump straight into university. And if you don't care about the education you receive and just want the degree for a job, blow the whole thing off and take as many shortcuts as possible. Degrees are purchased, education is earned.

Probably KOTOR. Bought it during the Steam sale and it's not very fun so far.
Get past the first planet if you can. It is pretty boring, but as soon as you become a Jedi it is SO fun. I also bought it during the summer Steam sale and LOVED it so very much after that first planet.

Yea they really shot themselves in the foot with that first planet, it goes on forever! I'd definitely second powering through it, once the game opens up it's much much better.

Spent 163 hours on Mount and Blade single player over the past year and I'm about half done taking over the world, not sure that'll ever happen. Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts as well, gets pretty tired near the end. Magicka was mentioned and I agree, it's fun for the first hour, then deaths and shitty checkpoints get boring, or you use the same spell combo over and over... and that gets boring.

I would suggest that the booth girl's interview is actually pretty relevant. It's fucking embarrassing that booth girls exist, and if it takes being shamed in mainstream media for kids to quit taking pictures with them, so be it.

This is a lot of fuss over the 7 copies of Deus Ex PC that were purchased at Gamestop.

Nobody is going to be playing WoW, LoL, Starcraft, TF2, etc. on a tablet. The demand and market for PC games is enormous, this tablet/iphone phenomenon is largely in the US. Nearly every great fanpatch and faq and whatever else for PC games is coming out of Europe, which remains a huge market. That is not to mention Asia, which is a bit more unrelated to Western gaming but still creates an overwhelming demand for the hardware.

PC Gaming has never been going anywhere, look at Steam if you're at all concerned. Also buy games if it makes you sad, there are a ton of creative, interesting developers that are staking their companies on a single, potentially great game, and they just need your 10 bucks to survive to make another.
