Some Immediate thoughts and opinions:

• What first caught my eye was that The Dark Knight Rises has zero nominations. That's right, zero. I gave up on the Academu every nominating Christopher Nolan for Best Director, but it didn't even get a nod in on of the technical categories. It seems that people either completely forgot about it(either due to the shooting or other reasons) or they replaced it with Skyfall as their annual bone to the mass populace.
• It's great to see Michael Haneke get some nominations. He hasn't gotten much love here in the States, but he is an amazing director. If you have the time, watch The White Ribbon. If you have even more time and you also want to feel bad inside, watch Funny Games.
• It seems that Lincoln has taken over as the front runner for the major awards, including Best Picture and Best Director. Daniel Day-Lewis is a near lock for Best Actor and Spielberg's biggest competition (if he has any) is Ang Lee (speaking of past movies to see, go watch Brokeback Mountain which Ang Lee won Best Director for and deservedly so).

After lots of (not much) searching, I have rediscovered a screenshot of the original Giant Bomb site, taken withing the first week of the release of the full site.  It's hard to believe it's been two years and how much the site has changed since then.  Keep up the amazing work, Giant Bomb and Whiskey Media!
 

Realizing that I haven't had a blog post in over 3 months (!!), I decided that I needed to start up again.  Trying to think about what to write about, I figured that I might as well post two pictures that literally made my laugh out loud when I saw them earlier today in the other forum I visit frequently, and this is coming from a guy that usually disdains image macros and memes.  They also both deal with the movie Inception.  If you haven't seen it already, you probably won't get these pics as much as those who have, which is all the more reason you need to go see it immediately before I hunt you down with top men.  Top.  Men.
