I have put dozens of hours in so far on PS4, and I haven't noticed any lingering deterioration of performance. The only hiccups I have dealt with is whenever I get into a Vertibird.

@citizenkane: You should also look at getting armorer mod level 2. That way you can make deep pocketed mods for your armor. Each piece of armor with that raises your limit by 10, so you can get an extra 50 weight with one in each piece. That really helped me early on.

Really? I didn't realize that. I was already looking to rank up my Armorer perk, but this gives me a lot more incentive to do so. It will require less points than getting my Strength to 6 and getting the Strong Back perk.

Thanks!

I have always gone with Perks, but lately I've been thinking of dropping a few points in Strength so I can get the Strong Back perk. Every scavenging run results in having to drop items, even when I'm wearing Power Armor to increase my weight and having my companion hold as much as possible.

So far, it has to be Nick Valentine. I just love his 40s film noir caricature and his look. I've always loved the look of humanoid A.I. with some robotic insides showing.

I've come across 4 suits and a power armor frame in my travels. I've stored them in Sanctuary and am currently rocking the T-60 with about 16 Fusion Cores in stock (you find a shit ton of them in the early Brotherhood of Steel missions).

I've gotten far enough into the story to where I have most of the map available directly or close by fast travel spots. I've also built up enough caps through the ammo/caps glitch to where I can easily any ammo I might need on side scavenging runs.

I also probably spent most of my time on the settlement building, which I correctly predicted right after E3.

Probably my favorite part of the settlement building. Now, I am building 4 story tall floating bridges between my towers.

Now if only I can find a place with a lot of steel...

Like @chaser324 has said, Power Armor in Fallout 4 now requires Fusion Cores for power. When the current fusion core inside the Power Armor runs out of battery and you have no extras, you are put in a state similar to over-encumbrance: you move slowly and can't run. If you have extra FCs in your inventory, your Power Armor will automatically take one and recharge, so you don't have to get out of the suit just to put in another FC.

Our favorite forum anthology series is back! Fallout 3 started it all, and now Fallout 4 is here for a revival.

The game is simple: just write about any silly life lessons you have learned while playing Fallout 4. I will periodically add them to a mega list at the bottom of this post.

So give us your advice, Giant Bomb Wastelanders!

NOTE: BE CAREFUL TO NOT POST ANY SPOILERS!

100 Things Giant Bomb Has Learned Playing Fallout 4

  1. War. War Never Changes.
  2. Houses can be easily dismantled
  3. Duct Tape really IS the ultimate resource.
  4. Sometimes there are legendary Deer, and sometimes they drop rad weapons.
  5. If you have a work bench, the laws of physics don't matter.
  6. Mirelurk eggs may now hold terrifying surprise. They make a damn good omelet, though.
  7. You can carry 200+ pounds of stuff in your pockets, but any more than that is just unrealistic.
  8. Lead is rarer than gold.
  9. You can scrap everything... except bullets.
  10. You end up scrapping every children's toy to acquire the precious screws for your rifle scope. Little Timmy will have to go without his race car set.
  11. Maxing Science and Lockpicking Perks helps you break a lot of quests and areas.
  12. Dogmeat is never a one doghouse dog. He's a wanderer. Yeah, he's a wanderer...
  13. Deathclaws don't give a f***.
  14. Diamond City guards are either super lazy, or super badass not giving a fuck about the Super Mutants living a block away.
  15. The scariest robots have boobs...
  16. You can sneak by trained mercenaries standing 5 feet away in broad daylight, but God help you if ghouls and dogs are 3 floors above you.
  17. Marcy Long must die.
  18. She said the Jet would make me jittery. Guess she was right...
  19. In the future, cars and all household appliances will be made without screws.
  20. Entire settlements of people prefer standing over their beds to doing anything else.
  21. The only thing faster than Mutation is a headshot.
  22. Typewriters are the heaviest objects known to man.
  23. Disco balls are surprising festive, even in the Wasteland. Disco never dies.
  24. If you give you companion a Fat Man, you're going to have a bad time.
  25. Brotherhood of Steel Vertibird pilots love to joyride 360 into you on a regular basis.
  26. Fusion Cores are most often found on generators and in ice coolers.
  27. There's almost always a back door. Use it...
  28. Key rings are the greatest invention of humanity. Too bad none are in Fallout 4...
  29. Sentry Bots are terrifying.
  30. Shooting Dogmeat, then immediately healing him with gain you praise from everyone around you.
  31. Grandma plays the numbers...
  32. Mirelurks never go solo.
  33. Preston is one fast mofo.
  34. The smaller the creature in the Wasteland, the more annoying they are.
  35. Nick Valentine doesn't break a sweat. He'll remind you of that constantly.
  36. In Fallout 4, all you need to do to stay covert is to change your clothes every 2 minutes.
  37. Near empty fusion cores are worth the same as full ones.
  38. Being a Lady Killer doesn't help with the ladies. Weird...
  39. Dogmeat likes to be stylish. Give him a bandana or even a suit of armor.
  40. I keep waking up next to Mama Murphy...
  41. All it takes to build a bed is four pairs of scissors and five lit cigarettes.
  42. One day, Super Mutants kill everything
  43. Pipe weapons are about as powerful as BB guns, even when fully modified.
  44. The mascot head reigns supreme.
  45. Desk lamps won't go on desks, because the desk is in the way...
  46. All of the missile turrets in the world won't stop Raiders from kidnapping someone's husband 5+ times.
