I want F.E.A.R 2 and Warhammer 40K: Space Marine so god damn bad. I'm super glad with the list so far though. Now that it contains games such as Dark Souls, Super Meat Boy, XCOM and Fallout New Vegas the Xbox One is all of a sudden a far better console than before.
I originally played it on PS3 so while I did enjoy my time with it (apart from Bethesdas abysmal writing) it became impossible to play it for more than 30-40 hours because of crashes, loadtimes and framerate issues. So yeah, I might go back to it at some point besides we probably won't have a new one of these before 2020.
Sure I play the multiplayer from time to time. Very solid, although I haven't touched Warzone or Breakout. What is Firefight and when is that update hitting?
@taesoawful: I'll agree that random localization changes in any given niche Japanese game don't really qualify as capital C Censorship, but this is still a discussion that is worth having, regardless of the particulars of the language used.
For my part, I think there's something slightly weird about the localization team going out of its way to clean some of this stuff up when most of the potential audience for a niche JRPG revolving around Japanese idol culture (i.e. People who probably like anime and JRPGs) either don't care or would actively prefer things to stay as they were in the original Japanese release. I'm probably more in the indifferent camp and am totally fine with localization teams changing stuff if it fits. But in this case specifically, I feel like the potential audience gained from changing some of the skeevier elements of a niche game like this can't be that large, and even if I'm not particularly offended one way or the other, it seems like there is a decent vocal minority that is.
Is it that niche though? I mean, yeah it's only in Japanese which will be a turn off for the average Bioware/Bethesda player. But, and I think this is a pretty big but, Fire Emblem and specifically Persona is a pretty big deal at this point. SMT games usually don't get this kind of coverage and I do think that the localization team hopes to cater to a larger audience than just people who still use their Vita for weird ass Japanese games. Could be totally wrong about that, but I sorta hope I'm not, cause it would be cool to see the game reach a larger audience than the very specific niche audience you're talking about.
Order of Ecclesia and the one before that (Portrait of Ruin I think) are legit some of my favorite games, saying this one is reminiscent of that has my hopes up
Titanfall 2 at least looks like it has ambition, I'm not really sure how the WW1 setting makes BF1 any different than previous iterations. I guess they have tanks now?
It's fun as always to stay up till 6AM to watch some of these (Living in Denmark, so yeah it's rough). The conferences have consistently been enjoyable no matter what since GB started commenting on them (seriously, some of their best material), and now that I actually have a current gen system I'm.. I'm sorta invested in what MS have to show I guess. Which is super fun.
Yeah, as well as Two-Face and Robin in Arkham City, and the Arkham Knight as well. He was Rhyse in Tales from the Borderlands too, and Laura Bailey voiced Fiona. It's honestly ridiculous how video game developers keep pulling from the same small handful of voice actors. Now, yeah, obviously they have range, but Baker & Bailey's range in particular has been spread pretty thin - it's impossible not to immediately hear them as Baker & Bailey now. Even Nolan North wasn't this overbearingly prominent during his heyday.
