This is the first GTA game that I played (picked it up for 10 bucks on a steam sale). I've never had much interest in GTA but loved Red Dead and that made me want to see why everyone loves this game. I've played roughly an hour of this game and I haven't been enjoying it. The characters seem flat, and the controls seem terrible. The driving model for the cars is awful. I know that Rockstar games can take a while to get going, but I'd like to know what I'm getting myself into.
And yes Red Dead was a slow burn to start and I'm sure I had the same complaint about the horses in that game at first.
I enjoyed all of these games immensely save for Lara Croft, which I did not play. The one I enjoyed the most though was definitely Costume Quest. It maybe just due to my absolute love of anything that Tim Schafer touches. I thought that the combat was simple, but the battles were fun and over quickly enough to prevent it from getting repetitive. The game oozed charm from every orifice and remains the only game that I beat is one sitting this year.
They had the PC version finished in January 09 but EA didn't want to release it without having the console version ready. How they were able to push out awakening so quick.
I only hope they realize the best parts of Mass Effect 2 to steal into this game, mining for minerals.
The only person who can answer this question is yourself. Do you really want the mac? Do you want it more than a comparable PC? If you desire it then the answer has to be yes . . . to you.
