I think it sort of ruins its beauty by putting in too much. Like there's no balance to the style, it's just sort of like "Is this beautiful?" "Yup! Shove it in the game with the rest of the beautiful stuff!"

I will say after playing Tera its not bad, I think it functions very well and is a bit more tactical and intuitive than most mmo's its just that there's not really much of a way to build your character and you're really shoe-stringed into a play-style right from the start. Also as much as they were touting it as a "true action mmo," the action is very still and not very satisfying, like if you told me all the attacks were being automated I wouldn't have doubted you. But I will say it was good enough to make me care about mmo's for a little while and it certainly seems like it has enough interesting systems/crazy crap to keep people playing.

August is a great time to launch a game because its often barren of significant games, so no competition. Borderlands and Arkham Asylum both launched in August and did great.

...Borderlands released in October... Because I know I was in school for its release. But anyway I know what you're saying and I agree.

@nohthink: They are unlocked, there's just no story for them, no story was written for them because they were designed as boss characters. Maybe stories for them might get added later, but the story isn't really the main part of this story.

Yeah, it sort of sucks that Skullgirls doesn't have an in game move list, but the fact that other companies have done so much crap with fighting games like on disc dlc, poor online support, and bad tutorials and this game tries to fix that (and manages to succeed for the most part) but because it doesn't have something in the game which instantly gets you banned in tournaments if you look at it and only use it for the first 5 minutes of playing a character which is easily accessible online, and might be better to have it open on a nearby computer so you don't have to keep stopping the game as frequently , somehow automatically discredit its as a feasible fighting game? If you wanna try and hate this game then be my guest.

Valentine and Double just aren't available in story mode, the pause mode has to be held down for a second in order to avoid accidental pauses.

Besides the fact that they said they want to patch this in... I just want to ask, if you really can't just take two seconds to mash some buttons to see what your character does, wtf are even doing? Do you just expect to open your move list at the start of every match or do you think it might be better to learn to stand on your own two fucking legs.

@Zacagawea: Ok I see what you mean, but RPG's and MMO's have released classes in expansions and people have gone back to play through the game again to have that character. Also, I think we all know the backlash of day 1 DLC.

Will be getting the collectors edition then. Don't know how I feel about them announcing a DLC character when the game itself is months away from release. A DLC character also sound useless if it's not out on release because who wants to play through the game again 3 months from release? Just release story DLC.

I played through Borderlands 1 again, just last month. I think its good to support a game after release.

When I ran into them at the con they said the panel will be online, still wish there was a twitch feed for it though.
