Well there's a story reason as to why you have to save Dusk before being able to get into the DLC, the first NPC you meet there recognises you as Dusk's saviour which means that you save Dusk, she goes back to her time and then you go back in time. It is a convoluted way to get to the DLC but it actually makes sense.

It's because, *ahem* the DLC should have been included in the game! Just kidding. But actually though, the DLC meshes so well with the vanilla game, especially on the PC version.

Because you have a pre-built, chances are the power supply is also pretty small in terms of wattage. There are just a ton of bottle-necks with your current computer. The only thing I would salvage is probably the hard drive (which might not even be SATA, which you will need adapters), optical drives (again, you might need adapters), and your windows 7 key.

Sorry for the loss, but now it means you can play the game again! The game has great replay-value.

The return of server based PVP brings tears to my eyes. However, I'm still hoping for a direct sequel for Demon's Souls. Bar non, the most unique game experiences I've had this generation.

I hope they reconsider the post-tragedy, sparsely populated worlds both games have taken place in. I wonder how Fromsoft will deal with vibrancy. If they are brave enough to make another tired world, I might as well play an earlier game in the Souls franchise.

@mosespippy: It took me 150h to stumble over Great Hollow. I doubt he found it by himself.

BTW, finding that deep goddamn hole after finishing the game two or three times was pretty mindblowing.

Great Hollow has a bunch of goodies though. Chloranthy ring and a slab

@Ares42: That creature has offended me and he SHALL die! He's gotta go for no reason other than that. Also now that I know that it must be done to access the Warriors of Sunlight covenant I have all the motivation/reason I need.

If you hang out on the sides of the bridge where he can't reach you with fire, he will drop down. You just need to chill there for a while.

@TobbRobb: 23h for the first playthrough seems pretty fast, did he run through the DLC at all?

@Rhaknar: For all of those questions you just asked. You'll figure it out. I think you should stop asking for advice now, since you seem to have a better idea on how to play the game and how to get there.

You're ruining it for yourself at this point.

If Im asking its because I dont think it will ruin it for me :P I could just read a wiki, but I prefer to ask and get just tips, not straight solutions. As much as im liking the game, its not some sort of religious experience for me im sorry. I have a stupid large backlog to get through, I dont intend on playing dark souls forever. I dont mean I want to rush through it, but I dont mind to know stuff ahead of time. Hell I rarely give a fuck about story spoilers, let alone mechanic ones :)

and hey, you wanna talk about leaving me to my own means and find stuff out on my own? Just farmed those forrest npcs for an hour to get STR up to 32 to use the black knight greatsword, and i fucking HATE it. its ridiculously slow compared to the normal black knight sword (they both said greatsword so I thought it would be the same speed), and now Ive wasted a fuckton (well not wasted but still) of lvls / points for something I wont use... THAT ruins the game for me (stuff like that I mean), not knowing mechanics or tips, sorry. To each its own I guess, I dont want to sound ungrateful, quite the contrary, like I said im enjoying this thread. But yeah...stupid sword :(

You have enough STR for a black knight halberd then, which is arguably, the best weapon in the game.

@thabigred: Actually curious about what resolution you're running it on.

On my GTX660 TI, I only drop below the 30 FPS cap in 3 places: Blight town (at a certain angle in the swamp), Lost Izalith (Between centipede demon and Bed of Chaos), and Chasm of the Abyss. The only thing I changed in DSfix was the resolution (to 1920x1080)
