I woke to listening to the news, heard the story and thought the same thing.

@Contrarian Maybe you should update the opening post with what happened now? I think considering the nature of what happened its appropriate, and will help cut down on the posts by people who don't know what has happened, including the accidental dickheadery.

I've noticed a drop off in his postings the last month or so.

@Claude: Not really too much you can say here. Here's to hoping you pull through no matter the outcome and continue to be and do the things that make you so you. Eat some BBQ, that should make things better.

We've never interacted, due in part to my status as a young'un, but damn, that's absolutely terrible. Hang in there, and rely on the people that love you.

God damn, man. Uncle Claude is one of the few members I truly respect, and for something like this to happen to such an awesome guy is terrible beyond words.

I really hope in the coming months he can find some sort of peace, loss in any form is the toughest thing a human can go through.

The man certainly knows how to other motherfucker the hell out of these forums, that's for sure.

Ive been on Giant Bomb for about a year and a half now and Claude is probably my favourite user on this site.  As corny and dumb as this sounds I feel true remorse for him even though I dont know him personally.  I feel sad thinking about what hes going through right now....  You seem like a really resilient person but I really hope that you hang in there.

It's been a long while since we've chatted, Claude, and many of us are probably a bit too young to really comprehend what you must be going through right now (or at least I am), but as a lot of other people have already stated, you're very much so one of our own in this community. Come what may, I think it's safe to say that we all hope things work out okay for you. No duder deserves to have to deal with this sort of stuff, let alone one who's been so distinctly integral to this site and its forums like you.

I returned from a business trip to find this message from Claude. I shed quite a few tears for him, It really broke my heart that such a good man should suffer this pain. Mary was very lucky to have a partner as good as Claude. Very, very sad.

I don't know him at all- but I'm sure I've seen his posts or spoke to him as I recognise the name. Still, thoughts are with him.

Edit: just seen the update. Desperately sorry for your loss, Claude.
