I have to agree with the majority here. I have had both consoles and while I love XBOX I honestly didnt find many great games on it. PS2 had more games, is still easy to find brand new, and while not all the games are great theres still a larger selection of good games on PS2. If you got an XBOX it'd probably be used or else really expensive and I dont think youd be as happy with that. Just my opinoin, I loved both consoles  but being that they are older consoles, IMO anyway, it'd be smarter to get the one with the larger library (more choices) and is still being made.

Like poster above me said, I dont focus on achievements that much. If I like the game then I go back and look for ones I missed, but if your playing for the first time and focusing on the achievements then I can see how that can ruin the experience.

I dont personally really care about the achievements all that much and get 'em when I get 'em. I always assumed it was just supposed to be a way to pad out the value of the game AFTER you play it. I guess I'm in the minority on that. They do make me more likely to pass games I wouldnt normally otherwise get through (cus they suck in some unfun way) but for the most part they serve no purpose for me other then to store my game collection which I think is cool (I dont rent games). That's just my take on it.

I disagree with them alot from time to time. I tend to disagree with a majority of people on things, though. Thankfully I was raised to have my opinoins on stuff so I take things for what they are and use game reviewers as a way to figure out what I am looking to find out about a game and nothing more.

I wont agree with everyone and I dont expect to. I dont come here to agree with what they say, I come here to hear what they have to say because I trust their opinoins as they've proven to me over the course of many years that while I may not agree with them they will always give an honest assesment of how the game was when they played it and thats all I want from a review.

Its pretty tough to remain unbiased, and alot of journalist (sadly) falter and take the easy way out not looking for all the view points. Giant Bomb is guilty of this, but so is many other reviewers of any kind.
Anyway, to remain on topic I tend to disagree with Jeff the most. He disagrees with alot of my opinoins, for instance I believe games are Art (as unconventional as it may be, all things are art, sorry but it is a fact). I think Roger Ebert (admittedly in response to a huge backlash when he said that games were not Art) said it best when he said (and I quote) "...Of course, I was asking for it [referring to the backlash to his comments]. Anything can be art. Even a can of Campbell's soup. What I should have said is that games could not be high art, as I understand it."
Do I agree with Roger Ebert? No, I never have agreed with him on his views of what makes art, but he makes a valid point. When he refers to high art he means something that can be viewed traditionally as an example or statement of some kind. Defining art is complicated and I wont go on with the thesis I wrote for college about this discussion, but needless to say I disagree with Jeff very strongly (and I think a few others at Giant Bomb Staff) that games are not art. To me, games can even be considered High Art (See games like Shadow of the Collosus, Heavy Rain or one of many others I cannot remember at the moment because I am very tired). This is the main thing that I have never agreed with Jeff on that always sticks out in my mind because I have written so much on the subject.

Anyway If anyones interested in the article Roger Ebert wrote after his statements that games are not art see here:
http://rogerebert.suntimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070721/COMMENTARY/70721001

Sorry, its been years so I cant find the original article where he stated games are not art nor Ron Gilbert's Response among several others because im tired. If you dig a bit, though, you may be able to read up on it if you havent. Sorry that I wrote a wall of text, I am not offended if no one reads it haha

The Z Grade horror look of it from the trailers and gameplay footage I have seen appeals to me highly. I really want to play this game, I'm not just saying that.

I expect it to be bad, and my only hope is the creators are at least somewhat aware of how bad it is as that can help sometimes (Think like- an asylum film or something).

I am not explaining well, but despite this game looking horrible that actually appeals to me as it just looks hilariously bad. I really do intend to buy it when I find it in a store or when I cant wait anymore so i get it from amazon (probably my next paycheck).

The reason I want them to do an endurance run is because this game just looks rife for the joking. Anyone with a true appreciation for a bad movie riff night would probably get a kick out of it and that seems to be in high appeal these days (which is great btw). Seriously, someone funny needs to riff this game. Would just be extra cool if it was Giant Bomb.

The look of this game brings me back to RE1. Seriously that moment at the beginning of the game when I think it was Greg or something (sorry I have not played it in a few years so names are hazy) goes to leave and Chris states so panned and strangely uninterested in what he is actually saying "STOP! Dont open that door!"
That's just comic gold to me. That s**t is just hilarious.

I love they might be giants. Listened to them alot many years ago but they have since kinda disappeared from my perspective.

One that still sticks with me (other then the theme to Malcolm in the Middle which I do still remember as well) was "Particle Man". Heard it on one of the Dr. Demento Compilations many many years ago. Was the song that got me into them originally as i find that song very funny and peculiar which is always cool. I think it was originally on their first album which was a self title.

@BuchinyLordOfTaco:

Never saw this.

Ive been playing a healer in WoW for about 4 years now. Both things you want to get into are hard, and not just because theres alot to learn about them but also because you'll often get people who will tell you you suck when you dont play 100% perfectly. Theres alot to know. For instance with a tank you will have to learn aggro management, stats needed (which at end game will mainly come with the gear you get so just get tank gear and you should be ok there) and focus to make sure you have the attention of anything unexpected.

As a healer you do have a bit of an easier job in that you just watch health constantly and throw heals. Depending on what healer type you are will depend on how you heal, and really you learn this by playing the class. I play a resto druid so my focus tends to be alot of Hots. I dont know much about priest healers, I tried to play one but they are hard to level as at start they can be slow going. The choice is yours though, with healer your biggest concern at first will be mana management and not overhealing (which can increase your aggro and you dont want that). You have to balance keeping dps alive with your focus being on the tank must be healed at all times and for the most part this should be known among the players, although some will still be unaware of how to play and blame you if they die because you chose to do the smart thing and heal the tank before them.

Leveling as either tank or healer, is not something I recommend. I would suggest suggest leveling as dps then respeccing to healer at whatever point you feel comfortable being able to always get a group. Once you choose to be healer or tank you wont be doing anything alone (well you can, but it will be slower to kill stuff).

Anyway, I play Resto Druid with an off spec I switch to when needed of Boomkin (but im geared for heals so my dps isnt the best). Not sure what all you need to know, everyone has different opinoins on whats best to choose but realistyically there is no "best" its really how well you play it. With tank I have found troll to be the best as they have higher health regen to begin with so it feels like less down time at the beginning. Thats just my experience though.

Edit: oh and my opinoin is skewed on healer as I play druid and have always loved it as a healer. So obviously id say druid  healer if asked but again thats based on my experience playing =P

I Dont see a need for either one. Only people taht would need over 100 ppl in their friends list are celebrity in some way, or just adding random ppl to their list.

I know some ppl still play old Xbox games online but I dont see a reason to keep up old services for that. This is why games needs to have local play too. If I recall though, alot of the old XBOX games did have local network playability so dont see a need for Microsoft to continue to run a service for it. If its true itd free up resources for 360 I'm all for removing it. Consoles arent that expensive and most popular XBOX games are playable on 360, so I keep coming back to "dont see a need for either one".

I had no bugs. It did freeze up on one part but I restarted next day, redid the scene (which saved alittle into it so I didnt have to replay all that much), and it was fine. My only issue with the game was the movement. As stated the movement in the tunnel crawl was excruciatingly bad. But other wise no problems gameplay wise, nothing game hindering or preventing me from playing how i wanted except the six axis qte failing at parts so I failed things i didnt want to fail. But didnt bother me to much, I was resolved to live with the consequence of whatever happened and it never was game breakingly bad for me.

Sorry but I dont believe thats in game footage at all. Some of it looks hand drawn. Also, isnt Crysis a FPS? Or are they changing that now?

Im not one to care for graphics, yes it looks cool, just saying... doesnt look like its from in a game. Certain parts look like drawings.
