@msavo
I think in 2012 we can stop calling the PS3 and 360 next gen consoles.
Indeed, when we're talking about their successors' reveals I think they can safely be called current gen.

there's no understating the impact that certain gameplay modernizations have had on the experience.

Should that not be overstating? Otherwise you're implying that they're quite insignificant...

So let me preface this by saying I am not good at fighting games and am particularly bad at tag games, but I have put in some time with Skullgirls.

So one of the things I've noticed is that Peacock is pretty terrible up close, which is why quite a lot of her moves knock the opponent so far away (her throw, argus agony and bang! to name a few), so I don't think teleporting to the other character is the greatest decision. As someone mentioned earlier it looks like Valentine might be a better fit for you (easily the character I found most fun to play btw). Great tip for her is that you can delay her second and third projectile shots, and you can go straight into her argus agony from it which makes for a pretty handy combo.

One of the tutorials gives you a pretty good combo for Cerebella, it's the one that explains what stagger is - it uses her mP into a command throw, into some other stuff, might be worth checking that out. Definitely also make sure you can do the hit confirm tutorial in your sleep, as it's an absolute fundamental when you start chaining stuff into supers etc.

Also if you haven't seen it yet, check out the creator, Mike Z, walking through Peacock's moves: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2011-skullgirls/714721? - it's a quite old (around the time of her reveal) so some stuff wasn't implemented at the time, such as her level 3 super.

Great video though, keep it up!

Because someone is going to eventually, I might as well point out that Ireland is not in the United Kingdom.

Indeed, I was about to do just that, and I'm not usually bothered to do so.

@NoelVeiga: When did we defend Aris' behaviour? If anything it was totally the opposite. Also those last two points were not about the fact that they were criticizing a game or set of games but the manner in which it was done, which if your supposed to be a professional in the industry does matter, something which Jaffe's comment also falls under and should be called out on (although I still maintain it was sexist moreso misogynistic, but that's neither here nor there). At least that's my opinion on the matter.

Glass-gao? Was he talking about Glasgow?

I am getting a serious Forrest Kaysen vibe from Kessler in that hat....

@Aishan: Yup, kinda surprised neither of them recognised him, or the music, or the fact that the ringout animation thing was taken from the Other M trailer.

@eternalshades: I very much doubt it's Bastion. For one thing, it's not even out yet & Jeff talked like this was something that had happened, and for another Greg Kasavin is good friends with & used to work with most of the GB crew hence why they're getting the monthly updates from SuperGiantGames.

What was Jeff referring to when he talked about not getting a review copy of a game that they'd previewed on the site? It's around the 21minute mark.
