It took me an hour or two to get the hang of things but after playing all night with an 8-person xbox live party, I prefer it to the PC version's annoying mouse clicking/dragging over every teeny block.

No, the combat roll is useless for anything except making you move slower.. I've been sniped to death while midroll in single player, in multiplayer it's useless against anything with a fire rate (I don't even try to roll from shotguns) and the screen-shake plus controller rumble while rolling makes it distracting to use.

Stay in the air, its impossible for enemies to hit you in midair on the normal difficulty of single player, and swing is almost always the best thing to do in multi unless you're camping with a machine gun or something from within a fortified position.

Hockey players don't brawl with weapons.

Not enough input, cannot compute.

But seriously, first thing is look at your ship, can you see the little speaker icon appear when you're talking? Can you see it in the lobby?

Next, basic troubleshooting: Is your mic plugged in, and is it damaged in any way? Is it muted?

Advanced troubleshooting: Check other games and see if it's working, or record a voice message and play it back to yourself. Turn off your controller, unplug your mic, blow in the mic plug, plug it back in, and turn the controller back on. Reboot the Xbox too for good measure.

Pro: Buy a new mic.

The name was changed because XBLA developers are highly aware that titles which show up higher on the alphabetical queue, get significantly higher sales numbers simply by virtue of being on the first page-full of games.

I'm still waiting for "Aardvarks' African Adventures", the gritty multiplayer first-person shooter on XBLA, where they changed the protagonist's name to Aardvark for marketing and profit reasons.

Yes, I bought it within an hour and I was sooo glad. Send a blank friend request to "PLUNDER GOONS" and view friends fo friends, for a metatag of people who're into the game.

I posted a user review as well if anyone cares to check it out, I really am loving this game.

I posted a user review on the site here as well, if anyone's interested. The drunken multiplayer video of the GiantBomb guys convinced me that the game was everything I was hoping for, and frankly that video was an extremely accurate portrayal of how I was acting during multiplayer games last night, minus the Captain Morgan's.

Probably my biggest complaint (outside of stupidity of my human teammates, at least I don't expect much from the AI) so far is that some of the single-player challenges are really based on luck or a specific loadout and very good luck at the beginning of the match. A coulpe tmies I had to just take max Speed and cross my fingers hoping that a neutral merchant would drop a Bomb curse for me as it was the only way I could realistically blow up the AI opponents and capture their town while I was outnumbered 2-1, etc..

I bought it, I am loving it. The singleplayer is fun and challenging, and multiplayer is really hectic and really, really based on how well your team communicates and/or works together. I posted a user review of it today if you care to read it.

Age of Booty just came out, and I didn't see a topic for it but last night I bought it after an hour or two of play, and I'm really, really loving it.

You can get 2 days of quickmatch and private match multi-player play included in your trial, so go check it out ASAP, and don't forget to try each of the Stars for a challenge level, rather than just thinking there are only 7 challenges! ;)
