Mortal Kombat X moves forward with a snappier version of the previous game's fighting and some cool new characters, but the story and other features around the edges feel a bit rough in spots.

Hotline Miami's thrillingly brutal gameplay is stretched to the point of breaking in this aesthetically pleasing, but otherwise disappointing sequel.
Good job on the review. It's on the level of (and in some cases better than) a lot of the major game websites out there. I am ambivalent when it comes to MP3. I loved the direction Rockstar decided to go in. The set pieces, the music, the tone, all of it. I just can't get over the gameplay. They turned it into a methodical cover based third person shooter. Halfway through I just wasn't having fun anymore. Ambivalent and depressing, those two words describe my Max Payne 3 experience.
