Hard to believe it's been four years. What a shame. Ryan missed out on so much. I often think about what he would have thought of the Switch.

Screened was the only one I ever liked. Nothing can ever replace it.

I'm only getting Conquest. I do not support multiple versions. Nintendo misled everyone. The games were originally presented as having the player make a choice in game that could affect the storyline. It is one game that was split up into two because Nintendo got greedy. At least Pokemon has an excuse for two versions. Fire Emblem has none. We know Nintendo can fit both "versions" on one catridge because there's a special edition in Japan that has both storylines. If Nintendo doesn't offer a combined version for the West or heavily discount the other campaign, then I don't plan on getting either.

Nintendo is so full of nonsense. They'll drop support for the Wii U once the NX comes out next year. We know they've shifted all their big titles to the NX so they really just stop pretending.

Many games today release in a semi-broken state and require day one patches. Problem is those servers that host the day one patches won't stay up forever. By the PS6 comes out, the PS4's servers will probably be shut down. So what happens then? Will games like Assassin's Creed Unity be rendered nearly unplayable? What about PS3 games that require an update to play? Splatoon requires most of the content to be downloaded at a later date and is mostly a multiplayer game. What will happen to it? Do publishers and developers even think of this possibility?

@bisonhero: @crimsonavenger: I think the more likely, and optimistic, option is that they simply were promoting their parent company's press event.

We know they are working on something though. We kind of expected them to show up.

OK, so this was all complete bullshit, right? I didn't watch all of the Nintendo E3 Treehouse streams and whatever, but Retro Studios didn't feature anything of note, right?

Yup. Retro mislead everyone. They've offered no explanation for their absence though.

I really thought there was going to be a new F-Zero. I thought with Captain Falcon's resurgence in popularity and the two F-Zero DLC tracks in Mario Kart 8, that we'd for sure see a new F-Zero.

@crimsonavenger: Have they? Yoshi, Mario Maker, Xenoblade, SMTxFE, Starfox, that Animal Crossing game and Mario Tennis off the top of my head all coming out in the next 8-9 months or so? And the new Zelda has gotta be coming sometime in 2016.

Not all those may interest you but I don't think they've abandoned the Wii U by any stretch.

With the exception of Animal Crossing, those were all already announced. There's nothing new. The Wii U has been completely abandoned at this point.
