Why shouldn't he write about this stuff? The gaming subculture isn't just guys, just because you're tired of hearing about it doesn't mean it's not important.

Only women can be feminists now? That's one to note down.

Being marginalized shouldn't be accepted and the fact that you think he's being all high and mighty just shows your fucked up thinking that not being misogynistic is some saintly act.

This logic is brilliantly twisted, and appears frequently in these comments. He's talking about sexism? Well then, no criticism allowed, or you are a sexist. Please point me to any real sexism in these comments.

Where did I accuse anyone of being sexist or only females can be feminist? I stated that this topic is relevant to gaming because females are part of gaming and sexism exist within it. You can criticize all you want, but the argument that Eeptog put down was that Patrick is being a judgmental snob and I don't have to hear this, which avoids the discussion altogether.

Hey guys, remember when Giant Bomb was a fun site about ELECTRONIC VIDEO GAMES?? And not Patrick Klepek's ridiculously politically correct, reddit-esque circlejerking soapbox?

Fun times!

We either grow up and bring some maturity to the gaming discussion or bury our heads in the sand, avoid serious topics, and accept the stigma of it being a kid's hobby.

Oh also for the record, one of the major problems most people have with Mirror's Edge is the crappy story. People don't remember Faith's character, they remember the aesthetic and unique gameplay, a lot of which was led up by men. It doesn't surprise me Patrick will pull any excuse out of his ass to put women up on a pedestal. I was hoping he was done with this but i guess not.

Patrick's constant "opinion pieces" and the fact he is constantly being shoved into every single piece of content on the site has made me just stop reading/watching most of the stuff on the site. You said you wanted to know if we felt there was a problem? If we couldn't "trust you?" Patrick, at this point, is a problem.

Yes yes sexism is bad lets kill all men rabble rabble rabble. Whatever. I don't mind Patrick posting something like this every once in a while but when ever single article on the site is Patrick complaining about something, or acting high and mighty because he is a "games journalist?" Enough is enough. Stop "reporting" your causes and complaints about the industry, you should be reporting actual news, facts, not taking sides on some stupid crusade on twitter. If all the women in the games industry went on strike, then you can report it in a non-biased way, but as it is you are just broadcasting to the world that you are a "good and saintly person" for posting something on twitter.

I can no longer take anything Patrick says seriously, and considering he is now the poster child of GB, i can barely take anything on the site seriously.

(I will now prepare for the onslaught of people who will demonize me for one reason or another.)

I wish they'd just lower the price of the Premium upgrade already. I already own the base game, so I don't need the Premium Edition that comes with BF3.

Syndicate for Origin (PC) for $4.07 on GameFly! It's the cheapest on any site I've seen right now for the digital download and then they have a 20% off coupon code to bring it down cheaper. Been waiting to get this game since it came out, I was hoping it would be on Steam instead, but it was too good of a deal to pass up.

Also picked up Spec Ops: The Line for $6 from GreenManGaming on a pre-Thanksgiving sale.

If they're the enemy, then of course. I really can't think of any other games other than a GTA-styled game where they don't punish you for killing cops and civilians with a mission failure.

@Hamst3r: Yea, I was doing that for a while, but I felt dirty and uncivilized.
