Now that that's out of the way, I'm not sure. It may just be how it lets you know its plugged in and working. I have the same problem with a light on my speaker always being on and blinding me in the dark when I'm trying to watch a movie or play a game. Try getting a piece of paper, folding into a square and taping it over the light.
Ah, completely understand but keep an eye out. I've definitely seen prices drop for these types of keyboards. Too be honest a crappy dell keyboard served me pretty well until it got cheaper.
Ya, those things are a good workhorse keyboard, but that's what I'm using at the moment and am looking to replace. Where the cord connects to the keyboard has been pulled out and the wires are now bare. If I move my keyboard the wrong way it will disconnect and reconnect. So I'm thinking that some day very soon it will just not come back, and am using this as my excuse to get one.
Gladly/sadly I just started a job and need to save every penny I can to put towards buying a car to get to work and back. I'm currently borrowing a truck from my father and once the snow hits he doesn't want me driving it to work and back any more because it's such a long drive and I tend to work late nights. I may try to fit in $100 and pick up something though.
@MonetaryDread: @CrimsonNoir: @Jams:Those look real nice, but they are a bit too much into the high end price range for what I'm looking to pay. Money's tight at the moment, so I may just end up saving and buying something higher end down the road if I can't get something cheaper.
Too bad, that's the one I use, (actually, I upgraded to the wireless version, but same thing) and it's fantastic. Weird, because on the US Amazon store, it's only $68, and our currencies are basically identical right now. Got a buddy in the states that can ship it to you? (or do Amazon actually ship to Canada?)
It's stupid, but they always add like $10-$20 to pretty much everything they sell in Canada compared to the US. As for the other part, no I don't know anyone, and yes they do ship some things here but there are tons of border fees and by the time you pay them it's not worth the hassle and it bumps the price back up to what it would be to just buy it here.
I'm in the market for a new keyboard and have decided that I was tired of squinting in the dark trying to read the keys while I type and want a keyboard where the keys light up. The main use of the keyboard will be gaming, but I don't want some uber1337 ultra hardcore to the max gaming keyboard that costs hundreds of dollars; which annoyingly seems to be the only thing I can find with back light keys. So I was wondering if any of you fine folks could recommend me a good one that's under $100 and, if possible, closer to the $30-$40 price range.
I did a quick search over at newegg.ca and this was the only thing I could find in my price range that did the back light and not cost $100+, but the way the numpad/arrow keys being bunched up with the main part just looks like it may be uncomfortable to me. So far it's sitting in the number one spot by default.
So anyway, if anyone can help recommend me something here's a quick checklist of musts:
