@youeightit: GB's been revitalized a lot since Jeff left.

Grubb mentioned it briefly on the morning mess (this Monday or Tuesday). Said RV didn't know what to do with them, while Fandom has people in place that they could work with. Seemed positive on it. But this week was mostly Bombathon focused.

Edit: I wrote Jeff, then Jeff G., then just went with Grubb because of this site's JeXX fascination.

I vow not to express any strong opinions about this movie on the internet. It'll probably be fine.

Also, we've heard two sentences by Mario and I can't understand why people are already worked up about it.

Heat was really fun, had a great time with it. I've enjoyed NFS driving a whole lot in recent years, and playing Hot Pursuit Remastered last year got me ready for a new one.

As long as there aren't mandatory drift events and the game isn't buggy and broken, I'll be down for more NFS.

Side note, nice to see Dan and Jason back together again since they go back way back to GI.

@bisonhero: They had the sub counter occasionally, but they clarified beforehand that it wouldn't have those Twitch overlays and loud shoutout noises.

Which, as someone that dislikes that stuff, I appreciated.

I'm just bumping this after Jan's stupendous work, running the best damn GB show in a long, long time. But it might as well be a sticky post at this point since it always applies. The Bombathon's awesome, and Jan's a big part of it. Even if he's currently been freed to play some... Mario Party.

Considering GB hasn't had an in-person show in years at this point, it's gone so well. There have been random hiccups but they got fixed right away. For a marathon stream like this? Damn fine work.

And this is a Jess thread, too, and she ruled today. Kept that energy going all day, as we're currently hearing an excited story about an Elmo penis.

And props to Grubb for being down for ANYTHING. I liked him before GB but he's dived into this site with reckless abandon.

I try to start a game within a week of buying it, otherwise it gets lost in the stream of new games. Depends how busy my nights are the week of release, but it usually winds up being a weekend morning if it's not the day of.

My best way to start right away is to start the game as soon as it's installed, giving me at least a 50% better chance of not letting it fall to the side.

As long as GB gets to continue in the direction they're going in, we can't speculate too much on this. It's all behind the scenes stuff that we have no idea about. Ideally, Fandom could link stuff to GB to get more eyes on the site.

I just hope the staff gets treated well, really.

This'll be fun, hopefully they have some of those New York area "mystery" guests pop in for a bit.

And I hope someone's available to make a table of contents or something with the archive. I tend to get overwhelmed with giant archives and wind up skipping a lot of the uploads after the fact.

Youtube in general has like a million ads. I noticed GB occasionally gets them out of the way early on a longer stream.

It's annoying but hey, all their content is free now.
