Rorie rules. He's got such a decorated history between Gamespot and Screened and Giant Bomb. He's a master of showing up for 5 minutes and making an immediate impact.
Agreed, the site should be the place to go. Kind of like how news or announcements were on Twitter but not actually here. I follow the site, that's pretty much it.
I don't use Twitch and wondered why there was zero content showing up recently. Until I pulled up their Twitch channel and saw hours of stuff that still isn't on here. I'm assuming it's because Jan is out. Instead of rushing him back or relying on him for most uploads, there should probably be a backup plan and your idea seems reasonable.
The site's been around for about 15 years. The people change, and the audience changes. I was in my early 20's when I first watched that Red Faction: Guerilla Quick Look. It's a miracle I'm still here.
What I'm saying is, people coming and going is to be expected. Leaving the site's fine, there have been plenty of places I stopped following over the years, or have cut down on considerably. No need to feel guilty about it.
@justin258: At the very least, listen to the last two tracks of In Cauda Venenum. Lots of excellent stuff throughout, but the endings of Continuum and All Things Will Pass are so god damn powerful. At the very least, current Opeth can nail those outros (Folklore off Heritage is glorious, too).
