I was a big PSO fan. I played the hell out of the Dreamcast and the original Xbox versions of it. I tried PSU and I just didn't think it felt the same. I would love to see PSO put out on XBLA or the PSN, that would be cool.
I think the only satisfying ending the Gears story could have would be for all of them to die and have the Locust army win. They've mentioned this is a trilogy and by wiping out all of humans on Sera they have a setup for the Locusts to invade Earth in the eventual part 4. I guess that's if Earth even exists in the Gears fiction.
@Zohar: No, you're one hundred percent right. Microsoft treats it's customers like a battered spouse and the consumer keeps going back for more. If people would wake up and stop putting up with the Microsoft crap then maybe the company would have to change the way it does things. Until that happens they will try and bleed every penny out of us as they can.
I still read manuals. I don't care how crap they are I always look through them before I even put the game in the machine. I know with almost every game having a tutorial level that just straight up tells you everything the manual does it's a pointless task for me to bother reading them. I agree that this will be the first in a wave of companies that do away with manuals. I'm one of those people that can't wait for digital distribution to get here.
I'd give it 8 out of 10. My main complaint about the game was the respawning guard posts. Not that they respawned but that they respawned way to fast. But for me this was a great game. In a time when I'm just completely bored with open world game it managed to drag me in. But I think this was a game that screamed for some cop-op. Most the vehicles have multiple seats and when I'm cruising down the river in a boat with gun turrets on it all I could think of was how cool this would be with another person. I guess there's always Far Cry 3.
Oh I want to add COD World at War to my proud list. I didn't think GB would see it as a S rank because I don't have the two prestige achievements but it does. I'm pround of this one because I pretty much did all the Nazi Zombie stuff on my own.
I have no desire to see it. I tried to get psyched for it and go see it because everyone is saying how good it is. I look at the trailers and such and I can't imagine myself ever enjoying it. From what I understand it's kind of Dances With Wolves in space! I don't need to see that.
