@tycobb: Well, sorry then, but you never know anymore, with all the whine going around about Brothers A tale of Two Sons and it needing the controller. . After having played it, I can understand why there is no K/M support for this game.

@tycobb: A controller have been a part of a gaming PC this the beginning of time, do not toss away controllers. Keyboard and mouse isn't PC gaming, the options to use whatever fits the best is PC gaming.

@mars And to really see what PC gaming is about, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKlzQSANFZs get every single mod and play some Skyrim like it was meant to be played, and not the the shitty looking game SOMEONE gave us. This runs fairly well, at least for me, but I am running a very beefy system. Also, a warning, you might need to use some time in some ini files to make it run stable, due to Skyrim's artifical 3.1GB memory usage. Run over 3.1GB and chances are you're going to get a bunch of CTD, thanks a lot Bethesad.

Go for the i7, dont' listen to anyone saying going for the i5, it is really worth it, and it is about to become even more worth it with the new consoles, and how they will use your cpu. It's better to future proof your CPU then making it lag behind. I'd also recommend you getting the newest generation, avoid lagging behind when it comes to this. Don't save a tiny amount of money when you can future proof your ass.

@jouseldelka: If you are having these issues with your internet, as this is where the issue really seem to be(i hate how steam offline works too, I never use it, but still) you need to have a long serious talk with your internet provider and consider changing your provider, having an unstable internet connection is unacceptable today. This isnt' the 90's with dial up, and users need to be more direct with their ISP standing up for what is their right for something you pay money for. So the issues is boiling down to people complaining, on a forum, or reddit and what not. Instead of going to the source of the issue, and making handling it with them.

@fruitcocoa: Yea, I think you missed the bandwagon of hate on something you don't really understand, so nothing of importance.

People don't really get this whole thing it seems. As a PC gamer, I am used to these things for close to 10 years or so now. They are seeing bad things where they aren't for some reason.

From what I can see, all I give a fuck about is the games, EA won E3, They are giving me more Mirror's Edge, Battlefield 4, and Battlefront Titanfall, Dragon Age 3 which imo have some hopes..

Second is Ubisoft, with The Division and Watch Dogs, cause I find those to seem very very interesting. and some Assassins Creed.

Third is Microsoft, they seem to have more games then Sony, and Sony is forth.

Anything that is for PC I will be playing on PC, for the consoles them self, couldn't care less, but if my internet is down for more then 30 min, I'm going to go ballistic, I'm not going to care about my Xbox. Used games is a joke, please kill it of asap and give the devs money.

I'm a PC gamer, and I'm getting the Xbox One before I'm getting the PS4, both are probably a bit down the line for me, until some exclusives come, but from what I can see, Microsoft have just gotten a more interesting games coming my way. As for the DRM, I'm a pc gamer, this is NOTHING NEW. It's business as usual. Seems this DRM is a lot more friendly then what we're used to on PC tho. I can give my game to a friend, multiple people can have access to my games on my account? wth? This seems to give more upsides then downsides. Preventing people from not buying a game from a developer/publisher is not a downside, it's a good thing, Gamestop don't get money they don't' deserve for the work others have done. How in hell can that be a downside. For the online requirements, if I got 24 hours without having internet available to me, I'm going to kill someone or something so this is a thing I couldnt' care any less about. Imagine a full day, without any internet...... the horrors, just the thought makes me shiver.

It could been, but I kinda don't have faith in Activision not trying to just cash in asap, nor Terminal Reality's ability to make something good. They've just made to much shit for me to be able to have faith in this game at all.

Maybe if that picked another studio.

Get steam along with all its indie PC exclusives, like Legend of Grimrock and Binding of Isaac. As for fully-fledged PC games, here goes. Witcher 2. Dragon Age 1. Crysis 1 / 2. Skyrim for its mods. BF3. The rest are multi-platform.

Skyrim is a console port. Crysis 2 is a console port. Battlefield 3 was a console port (console development took over) and every one of those are multiplatform.

On topic: Along with Shogun 2 I would recomend Napoleon: Total War. Tribes: Ascend. Team Fortress 2. Arma 2: Arrow-head. Dawn Of War II: Retribution and Company Of Heroes.

As well as this, check out GOG for many older excellent (far superior than the shit today) titles.

"The DICE boss shared the news in the latest issue of PSM3, where he revealed that despite Battlefield 3 looking very much like a shooter designed for advanced PC hardware, the latter stages of Battlefield 3's construction lead on PS3 and Xbox 360 in order to meet release on time." And this means it's still a PC port. If you develop a game from the start to the latter stages it kinda shift the lead, but still not where it was developed.

For games to get, avoid Steam like it's the plague, it's horrid place which force you to run the POS at all times. Use GoG.com, Gamersgate.com, GoG.com, Direct2Drive or gamefly or whatever it's called now, and impulsedriven.com. Try to avoid anything like Steam and Origin, where Origin is the better one, as it don't force you to run it with all games you buy there, but still, avoid both.

For games you should get, the fact is, most games dosn't matter if it's a console port as long as they are fun.

The Witcher 2(and 1 if you've never tried it)

Deus EX: Human Revolution

Skyrim

Total War: Shogun 2

Legends of Grimrock

Battlefield 3

Botanicula

Batman: Arkham City

StarCraft 2

Alan Wake (I already had it on Xbox, but enjoyed it a lot more on PC, and it already was a fantastic game)

Arma 2.

Tribes Ascend.

Every Stalker game that has been released to date if you haven't played these yet.

There is plenty out there, way to many to even start to list them, as the pc kinda gives you the experience you want in any genre. Also, you can just sit down on your ass and wait for games like Arma 3, Borderlands 2, Diablo 3, Dead State, Dishonored, Planetside 2, Torchlight 2, Prey 2, both Xcom games, Grim Dawn, Carrier Command, Metro: Last Light, Firefall, End of Nations, Hitman: Absolution, Thi4e, Warlock: Master of the Arcane, Overgrowth(awesome rabbit something killing stuffz) Natural Selection 2!,

$15 for 24months and $99 for the box makes it $459. That's a terrible deal.

Is it really? An Xbox 360 with Kinect is $299.99, Xbox Live for 2 years is 120$? (i'm not living in the US so just checking the prices i can find), now that's 420$, now they need to add 40$ of content and you loose nothing at all. And it do say more, we got no clue what it is, but as this is a subsidized product, which usually will charge you a whole lot more then it's actually worth, this is a pretty good deal. Now let's see what the MORE part is, and we'll know if it's a very good deal.
