This thread got me playing again... Which also made me kiss the line of demotion again, so that was a harsh return. I finally had my luck change enough and get some last effort wins to get right above the middle line. Stressful time.

I think the toughest part is still that I get 60 points for winning but 120 points for losing, which makes that a pretty hefty bet.

@relkin: Ha by some coincidence, I just watched you play that. You had some good hands. Also, you have the same disease I do of holding on to dragons way past their use. Makes me feel better about never letting them go either. You never know.

Past Daav has bad optics on when they'll remember stuff.

1. I finished Pokémon Yellow. I've written about it on Giant Bomb dot com. Hell, I've finished the next installment months ago, just not in a state to write about it yet. I'm getting there.

2. I'm throwing in the towel on Project Zero. Between not liking survival horror, loud as shit neighbors and construction that has kept me up for two full months now, it's impossible to play a spooky, dark game without accidental auxiliary jump scares. I'll leave my Xbox out, just in case, but this one is probably dead. I made it to night two, at least.

3. I finished my season, but it required a ton of save scumming. Not so much results being arbitrary shook me, but the game's insistence to injure your entire squad the entire time. Don't know if I'll write about a random manager game, but it was very interesting to go back and see what being on PSP does to the format.

@relkin: you lose around 120 points if you go negative in the gold room. More if they, I dunno, hit you with the phat orphan pull right at the end. Now repeat that for like 6-7 games and you are ready to cry.

I stopped playing after losing over 800 MMR in one session, I just couldn't recover from that. Tried a few times after I watched Geguri play, but I just don't have the mental fortitude for it. Though I did fuck around with 3-player for a while.

@mindbullet: That... That HAS to be illegal?? Holy shit, that link is dire. Indefensible stuff. I really feel sorry for Level 5's name, because even if they're just licensing it, that's still gonna fall on them. Damn.

I think it's a giant bummer that everything is splintered into its own little paid Patreon now. As an audience member, that's just not sustainable. Hell, I can barely afford to pay for Premium, let alone do that three different ways, with different and more expensive tiers. It really sucks shit.

That said, I will watch whatever Jeff puts on YouTube forever. Good for him to get out and do what he's truly passionate about. We should all be so lucky. That first show was great.

I live in Belgium. Not a lot of pros on this side of the pond.
