what was the most challeging game you have ever played?

I have been playing video games since i can remember. Way back when Atari was the thing to do, so i was thinking what game that i have played whould be the most dificult game that i have played. I think that for me it wasnt a single game but the games that first came out for atari and some for NES would be right there, but also i was only 3 playing them so yeah .
