Quick comments about Cities XL.

There was much rejoicing by me today as I finally get to play Cities XL, a city-building sim that might end up rivaling the SimCity franchise if EA and Maxis keep on not making SimCity 5.  I got home this afternoon and I ended up spending a good 5 hours fiddling around, getting the feel of the interface, and planning my current city of 50,000.  I might get more detailed in my next blog about the game, but the initial reaction is that it's pretty good... not perfect, but solid overall. 
 
If you're in the Cities XL MMO dealie (Planet Offer) you can check out my city of Dalaiville.  It's a work-in-progress.  I'm not sure of the whole MMO thing is worth the subscription fee, but at least there's a 7-day free trial.  I'm still undecided... is it really worth the price when there's a perfectly good offline mode?
