I think it's a fair assumption that developers and publishers are like apples and oranges. For the most part, developers want to make quality games for gamers, publishers want to publish games that will make them money. The problem is that developers would likely be more in touch with what works over a bunch of suits. Case in point, this piece on Joe Danger and the publishers that passed up the opportunity to snatch a pretty popular game for PSN. Here's what happens to be my favorite quote of the week.

I don't know, I haven't played the game, but it turned out to be great. There is a bright side to this ordeal, though. None of these publishers turned down Bejeweled... or did they?
