I go by Diz IRL and online. I figured that I should stop avoiding this thread seeing as I'll probably have a bunch of questions both site and game related sooner or later.
I've had a couple of incidents when I've posted comments only to get bum rushed by trolls laying in wait. I've mostly managed to respond in a measured tone, but even a response gives them a win. For a time, it really turned me off to ever participating in conversation in most forums. It's really why it took me this long to attempt to mingle on this site, and I've been hanging around forever. I've just been burned in other places often enough. It's a shame that it bothers me. And I see it happening to people who are perfectly friendly, and just want to participate. Anything that would bring your participation in a conversation to a grinding halt is not worth an effort. Ignoring these comments is generally the best way around them. If trolls were ignored universally, they'd simply up their game, or disappear.
Totally coincidental. I just saw a suicide girls sticker on her laptop one day when we were "in the kitchen."
Haha. I'm trying to think of sex puns for cooking but I'm coming up with blanks. "smoking my sausage" is the best I got. "Putting the pig in the blanket?" "Hotdog in the bun"? Nah, not very good.
Oh and sidenote I did a quick search to see if they did have a DnD group on their website and they do:
"Dungeons and Dragons
Love rolling 20's? Fear the dreaded fumble? Do you have to hold your breath everytime you make a will save? Do you know what a will save is? Do you dream of one day killing a dragon? Then this is the place for you!
A group for adventurers from far and wide to come and discuss Dungeons & Dragons and all things related. Swords are optional."
The social side on the website seemed interesting but I never got into it.
I've been a member on that site for a while, and there are a ton of different groups just like that. It's really not just about the T&A. It's a pretty thriving community. People make lifetime friends in that tiny corner of the web. And of course...T&A.
