Great graphics. 0

If anything, this game set a pretty high benchmark for graphics on the Xbox 360. But you know what? It's just plain old-fashioned fun. Don't expect the next evolution in entertainment. This is the gaming equivalent of the popcorn movie. Groan-inducing lines, awesome set pieces, and lots of explosions pretty much sums this experience. So don't expect a good story. Because there isn't one.   Most of the games is spent teaching you to use the stop and pop gunplay. Take cover or die, basically. This...

Awe-inspiring. 0

To berate this game for its buggy graphics, annoying elavators, save glitches, and convoluted inventory system would be to miss the point of the game entirely. Even years after it's release, its impact still remains: no other game captures conversation and story like this one. It takes a lot of effort to create a fictional universe that is both new and engaging, but this is where Mass Effect excels. Hours can be lost delving into the deep universe and learning more about it's inhabitants. Choice...

Yoda sucks. 1

Makes me wish I had a PS3. Soulcalibur III was a bit of a disappointment to me, as it didn't seem as interesting to play as its awesome predecessor, Soulcalibur II. I can safely say, though, that this is the best game in the series. Everything just feels right. Plus, there's a single player mode actually worth playing, believe it or not. Tower of Lost Souls is pretty hard, so working your way through that can provide some longevity. On the subject of the guest characters. As you probably can tel...

Not scary, but a ton of fun. 0

Resident Evil 4 is my all-time favorite game. I played it nonstop for about three years. Okay, it's a bit of an exaggeration, but I still love that game to death. So naturally I was looking foward to playing this. And I was not disappointed in the slightest. From the trailers I figured the game wouldn't be that scary, so I didn't expect it to be. But as an aciton game? That's where this game truly excels. The story won't win any awards, but it's passable, at least by Resident Evil standards. The ...

Superb 0

A revolutionary game worthy of the title "modern classic", this game deserves props not just for being innovative, but for being so ridiculously fun. The opening plane crash and subsequent descent into Rapture is an experience unparalleled by anything else. From there, the fun begins. Beating people with the wrench is fun, but it's not until you gain your first plasmid that the real excitement begins. Player choice is a heavy factor in this game, as illustrated by the bevy of weapons and plasmid...

Pleases my inner nerd. 0

I was a fan of the X-Men Legends games, so it was natural that I enjoyed this one. But instead of just X-Men characters this time around, you get the entire Marvel Universe. While at first glance the gameplay seems extremely similar, it would be wrong to dismiss the changes that Raven made. For one, leveling up your characters are more accessible, but that also means the power trees are gone. Sure, a little depth is gone, but it makes the game more fun. Another noticeable change is the new healt...

Epic. 0

Whatever reservations you have about Nero, forget about them. He's not as cool as Dante by any means, but he's no slouch when it comes to mouthing off to the highest of demons. His Devil Bringer (his glowing arm) allows for a lot more gameplay variety. Instead of running at an enemy and risk ending a combo, you can just pull the enemy back and decimate him some more. In short, he's great fun to play as and easy for newcomers to learn the game mechanics with. But that doesn't mean Dante is out of ...

Brutal...with a story! 0

Even if you aren't a fan of the comics, I would still recommend giving this game a try. The Darkness powers are fun to use (especially Creeping Dark, which is a snake thing that you can use to remotely attack your enemies), even if the gunplay is pretty vanilla. The game begins with an awesome car chase that ends specatacularly. Needless to say you then proceed to shoot a bunch of people. Not long after, you gain the powers of the Darkness, and you can let your inner demon out. Killing people in...

Good, but not Great 0

I'll admit, I am one of the few that enjoyed this game. Sue me. Anyway, I feel as though the game didn't quite live up to it's potential. Makes me wonder what the game would have been like if it had stayed true to its original context. But I digress. The first level is fun, but won't blow you away. It's sort of a mix of Gears of War and Resident Evil. It's not until you get the glaive that the game gains its own identity. Too bad the glaive becomes too much of a focus throughout the game. It wou...
