I didn't like most of the movies this year.
Looper felt like a cool movie that degenerated into a bad Bruce Willis action flick. Which really was a bummer, seeing as how they set themselves up for so much potential early on.
Cabin in the Woods was nice, but didn't live up to how people were hyping it.
The Avengers was nothing special, just a better than average action movie where a lot of super heroes were in it.
The Dark Knight Rises was decent, but easily the weakest of the Nolan trilogy.
Surprisingly enough the best time I had in a movie theater this year was 21 Jump Street. It set out to be simply a good time goofing off and it accomplished that. It's easily nowhere near the quality of any of the movies I already mentioned, but I still found it to be way more apealing. The Raid: Redemption blows away every movie out this year though.
I haven't seen The Master, Moonrise Kingdom, Prometheus, Dredd, or Skyfall and The Hobbit isn't out yet, but I'm only excited to see The Master and Moonrise out of that list.
