Hey @drewbert! I don't know if it'll help with playing, but MGS1 is mostly built in right angles best suited to the D-pad. The analog stick is too precise and touchy, especially for the areas with unique camera perspectives, making aiming much harder than it needs to be. You might find it less frustrating.

It took me way too long to realize the Corgi spaceship simulator was an homage to Cowboy Bebop. The smiley faces ripped straight out of Ed's computer gave it away though.
