As someone with a typically dark sense of humor the whole line of questioning both Ryan, and Jeff's health on the forums has become a big gross to me. I'm not saying to stop to anyone but it just seems in very poor taste.
What I have can't even laughingly be called a beard and what little there is is patchy as hell. I have massive beard envy and I'm not afraid or ashamed to say so. Also my lack of beard makes attracting bears harder then it needs to be, but yay for everyone who has a beard.
@iAmJohn: I'm sure some one may have pointed this out already but, if you do a bit of research you'd know that they only started working on her after the game had gone gold. So yeah they created a whole new class after they'd finished the game making your should should have been base argument a bit moot.
@Castermhief117: I've seen how topics like this go first hand honestly I love the idea and will be going to gaymercon, however there seems to be a disconnect between people understanding that while members of LGBT community wish equal rights and acceptance from our heterosexual peers, we also like being around others in the community and interacting with them as well.
@test0r: I know what to think about PC gamers it's the same thing I've thought about them ever since the PC resurgence of late. That most not all are elitists who are more concerned with how much they can overclock their systems and how good a game looks then really playing them. Almost everyone I've met who is primarily a PC gamer has constantly looked down on me because I prefer a console. Once again not all just most.
@planetary: didn't know CBS interactive gained sentience and started posting on sites that it owns... learn something new every day. Oh and in case my previous assumption was incorrect then it's not "your giantbomb" just like it's not mine, giantbomb is all of ours.
To everyone who's asked yes PS3 and Steam are included in this I don't play on either of those platforms but I am more then happy to set up something if someone would like to be in charge of handling that side of things. It's an awful, misleading and incendiary name put on an almost equally bad idea. In fact the only thing which surpasses how shitty this idea is, is the farcical 'I think X so I'm going to delete Y' moderating that's accompanied it, which unfortunately is about par for the course lately.
If you mean you're looking for non-discriminatory gamers then why not just say that, and name it something which reflects that? Calling it 'GB Gaymer Group' is obviously dumb on many levels, but it's especially dumb if you're then going to say 'everybody welcome!' anyway. Why are the two issues even being conflated? They have literally nothing to do with each other at all. Is discrimination based on sexuality an issue in the 'regular' GB groups? If it is then why isn't something being done about it there? If it isn't an issue then your 'Gaymer (But Not Really) Group' serves no purpose whatsoever.
Jimbo I'd written something really thoughtful about my reasoning behind my thread then I read your post three more times and realized that to be fair your post didn't deserve it to quote a few words from your post it was "shitty' "awful" and "serves not purpose whatsoever". Long story short I'm willing to talk about my motives in PM but I do not post on GB to have people like you insult me as is so common with the internet. You've wasted all the time I'm willing to throw away on you, and I will waste not a second longer .
