Games are really super connected in the story department. Almost every character is returning from that title and events of the first game lead to the state of the world in the second. To understand stuff hapening here you need knowledge of the first game.

@thainatos: clunky by today standards. As a PSX game from 1998 its great and in no way low budget. Stuff changed a bit post Wrath of Heaven but thats other story. Can't imagine one person that played original Tenchu back in the day and could say it was clunky or low budget.

@tekzero: I don't know how much other people played it but I've got review copy and I have written my opinion for Polish website. I gave it 69/100 for PC version other reviewer granted PS4 version 78/100. People enjoy it and I had some fun with it. Just don't expect Tenchu or Shinobido since stealth here is super basic and you can run levels without being noticed without any hard work. For me Tenchu was more about planing an picking right route to your target. Here the shadow abilities make you super OP. Like I said its cool game but I prefer playing Shinobido 2 on Vita. Also no jumping in ninja game irks me like crazy.

@tobbrobb: I have played only the PS4 version and it was technical mess. The game has this cool grappling hooks system that you can use almost like Spider-Man but the technology behind it was so bad it was baffling. There are many great ideas hidden behind janky gameplay, bad controls and AI that is plain stupid.

Aragami can be pretty enjoyable but I was seriously frustrated with Shadwen. Especially since I prefer finishing missions no kill style.

It in no way like Tenchu. Its clunky indie game that looks nice but lack a lot in gameplay department. Terrible AI makes it kinda boring. Its way better than Shadwen but still not close to Tenchu or Shinobido.

Japanese kanji (hanzi the Chinese characters) are based on strokes and they are pretty important. I guess they assume its also important for us and put serif in western fonts. It's just a cultural thing since its also applied to their logos and stuff like that. Things looking cool in kanji may not look so great with our letters.

Yes, Sony is the bad guy here. They have no problem with garbage-fire on disc being sold in their store and for their console. More than that they will promote garbage-fire games with inclusion of Pro model but now they have some "rigorous certification process " that gives players less freedom and makes the whole mods on console promise one big joke. Hard not to point at sony as the bad guy.

Don't want to offend you but it seems to be a bad idea/ something almost impossible to write well. You have opinion on the subject and it seems like its strong one. Movie like that could work if you represent both sides with some depth and not label one as racist or whatever because it would oversimplify their arguments. It like that one "Christian" themed movie Gods not dead or something like that where they pictured atheist as the worst and work of satan and stuff like that. It trivializes whole issue if you paint it black and white like that.

If you have it in you to be able to present both sides in rational way it could work. We have tried something like that couple years ago in film program I was doing after school and it wen't bad because we couldn't rise above making fun of people with different opinion on the subject (It was short movie about euthanasia).
