Dragon Ball Super. I was so into DBZ as a kid that I felt like I had to see the new series. Most of it was pretty terrible, and the last arc was especially drawn out but I grit my teeth and got through it. Ill probably be back for seconds when it comes back.

Playing on Xbox one. My initial impressions were REALLY bad.

The origin story and most of act one felt really flat, looking at the game gave me a headache, and the combat was pretty much the worst kind of RPG shenanigans where enemies have stupidly high health pools and you plop magazine after magazine into them while chugging healing items.

But, after turning off the visual effects I think the game looks pretty nice, and with the game set to easy combat feels pretty good. Its not the most involved thing in the world, but the guns look and sound great, and with enemies being less bullet spongy it all kind of works.

The dialogue is still pretty bad, but the story picked up a lot of momentum at the end of act one and I'm interested in where the game will go from here. Combined with the fun sci fi setting I'm having a good time.

Eh, it doesnt have to be apple's to apple's to enjoy comparing them.

I would generally prefer dogma just for having similar highs, without some of the extreme lows of the original dark souls.

Love em both though.

I think Biden has always been a politician that's aligned himself as well as he can with the majority of the country.

In the 90s that meant building more prisons and escalating the number of black men imprisoned in our country for drug offenses.

In 2020 that means an incremental push in the direction of police reform and accountability. Hes not going to make the dreams of any progressives come true, but he will make the country (very incrementally) better. The other option is trump, who is pushing in an altogether different direction.

Comfort games for me usually mean something I can half pay attention to. For a long time that meant games like Diablo2, but lately I've found beat em ups(or any score based game really) to be great for that.

Shadowrun 360: a super fun shooter, with awesome fantasy elements. Playing as a sword wielding, teleporting troll never got old.

Nosgoth: another great multiplayer game that was torn apart for trying to use a license from a well loved single player series. The art style was great and the playstyles for the vampires have yet to be beat by any of the other hero shooters.

War Of The Vikings: a pretty simple sword fighting game but with very satisfying combat and just enough depth. It's up close combat really reminded me of playing the original gears of war online.

Only game I've played is Nioh 2. Its solid, but a little bit busy. A lot of systems that feel really unnecessary. Mostly it's just served as a reminder to finally play sekiro which I absolutely loved.

Most of it's just a nostalgia listen at this point, but I do really love System Of A Down. They've just got so much energy, and enough genuine creativity to make it work.

@oursin_360: I stopped listening to him for a while as well, but his last few albums have been some of his best work. The 20% of his lyrics I understand are great, and that's enough for me!

@inevpatoria: In the case of sekiro, I think the addition of a new kind of danger worked by coinciding with the change to a new, much more fantastical, location.

Bloodborne actually did something similar in introducing that kind of enemy when you first reach the nightmare. Although it did feel like a bit of bs there.

Honestly, I think theres a strong argument to be made that sekiro just got better and better as it went.
