Been a while since I actually done a proper video excluding the GOTY ones.  The title says it all pretty much.  Have to say its worth the money unlike other so-called special editions.

Well, I am now apart of something millions and millions of other people are and that is a little something called Twitter.  I didn't really see myself ever going over there and being apart of it but its kind of cool I guess but it ain't something I will become obsessed with like some other people are.  Anyway if you want to follow me on it: the name is DarroM85.  Darro and DarroM were already taken, which is surprising to say the least.

Oh and about the whole deletion of my GOTY Nom videos.  Let's just say that Windows Movie Maker is stupid and is a brain-dead program that wouldn't let me save movies.  Also,  no one was watching so couldn't be bothered then.  I will have a new vblog tomorrow just going over the month of January and talk about Bayonetta a good bit.   Also, will talk about my GOTY noms and what my GOTY is anyway.

Getting Ys: The Ark of Naphitism in the mail for rental tomorrow hopefully.  Looks good and I want to finish more games this year and thus going to rent most games instead of buying them.  Plan to complete at least 50.  Done 4 thus far so if I focus my time on one or two games, I could easily do it no problem and complete at least 4 or 5 games a month.  Wish me luck.

Anyway, expect a vblog like I said tomorrow and take care.  Toodles!

I pretty much felt the same way as you when I first started out on Fallout 3 and got to a point where I was pretty much not going to get anywhere because of low ammo and stimpaks that I just started the game over again and went through a different route.  I haven't played it in a while but I am more properly equipped than I was due to doing 2 of the DLC and was doing the Pitt when I stopped playing.  Its a great game once you find your way around it.  Prefer Oblivion though since I played the hell out of it (150-200 hours) but that's just me.

What Jarrett says about Bayonetta is true and its really cool indeed that you can just revisit chapters in different difficulties and just saves you for going through the entire game again just to get something you missed in a certain chapter.  You will love Bayonetta.

I am just going to announce my 2009 Game of the Year straight up for two reasons.  One is that WMM is being a dick and not letting me save movies for some stupid reason and two, that hardly anyone cares about the videos anyway.  Now I know I didn't put a TON of work into them now but it would be something a bit different to most of the other stuff people do and some of them put work into their efforts while others quite frankly did not and I am probably maybe somewhere in between.   Sorry for being a bit of an ass but its just the way I feel at the moment.  Previous blogs along with the nomination videos have been deleted and just going to announce it here and now. Will list my top 3 games but ain't going to say anything else.

1.  Tales of Vesperia (was released in Europe in June 09 hence its a 2009 release over here)
2.  Batman: Arkham Asylum
3.  Uncharted 2

Toodles.

Oh Windows Movie Maker, how I hate thee yet have to rely on thee.  Can't save my 3rd GOTY video for some stupid reason.  I have the source files, I have a destination specified and I have more than enough space but yet it seems its one of these problems according to this dumbass program.  Looks like there might be a bit of a delay with the third video but I assure anyone who actually cares that the third one will be up tomorrow along with the 4th so it will be still going alright.  If anyone know what this problem actually is, let me know thanks.

Greetings and saluations to one and all.  Today is the start of my week and a half long preparation leading up to the announcement of my 2009 GOTY.  As I stated before in my previous blog,  you will see a video each day over the next week or depicting a nominee for my GOTY but in today's case, it is two with one of them being just an introduction to the extravaganza (or something a lot less :P).

The first nominee might be somewhat interesting but I am going to get it out of the way here and now before someone who might comment about it does.  The game in question was never released here until last year even though the release is a port and that its a 15 year old game at the end of the day.  But since it was never released here properly until last year and that it came out in February 09 for Europe, I am counting it as a 09 release whether you guys accept it or not.

Anyway, let's get on with the festivities.  Enjoy! :)

Oh before I go, I will try and do a better job with my voice-over for the other nominations.

Just letting anyone who cares that I will be working on my goty videos this week since I am off and probably do some of them each day and upload one over the next ten days then the final video will be put on after that then.  If anyone would like to know before hand what my GOTY nominees are, pm me and I'll let you know.

Take care and toodles.

@DBoy: You can't get enough of that Quick Look. If you did an award for best video of the year, that would win it hands down for you.

@Brandy:   I loved playing Rhythm Heaven although a couple of the games were annoying to get the timing right but I got through all of them but didn't get all the perfection medals or whatever since that would be a nightmare for me to do.

Me thinks that game is Mass Effect 2.  Am I right?  Please tell me!  :P I really have to go back to play Dragon Age: Origins because I enjoyed playing it but a bug/glitch occurred during the dlc mission Warden's keep that spoilt it a bit for me and haven't really touched it since.   I play the 360 version and I know the PC version is all superior but I am pretty much done with PC games although I might download the Tales of Monkey Island series sometime in the future.

I have done this over the past couple of years now where I give you guys a list of the games I went on to complete in 2009.  Due to several things, including work and buying way too many games and not focusing on some of them enough, the list is smaller than the previous two years but I hope to change that in 2010.  These are in no particular order now.

1.  Ratchet & Clank: Quest For Booty.
2.  Dead Space
3.  Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin
4.  Chrono Trigger DS
5.  Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia
6.  X-Men Origins: Wolverine
7.  Tales of Vesperia
8.  Batman: Arkham Asylum
9.  Ratchet & Clank: A Crack In Time
10.  Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
11.  Call of Duty: World at War (Co-Op Only)
12.  Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
13.  Dragonball Advanced Adventure
14.  Rhythm Heaven
15.  Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story
16.  Brutal Legend
17.  Call of Juarez: Bound In Blood
18.  The Beatles: Rock Band
19.  Resident Evil 5
20.  Killzone 2
21.  Klonoa Wii
22.  Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince
23.  The Lord of The Rings Conquest (Both Campaigns)
24.  Alien Hominid HD
25.  Dash of Destruction (this one shouldn't count really since its like 10 mins long or something) :P
26.  Fallout 3 DLC Mothership Zeta and Operation Anchorage (again, probably shouldn't be counted since I haven't actually finished the main questline)
27.  Left 4 Dead
28.  Rocky & Bullwinkle (Completed all shows)

To tell you the truth,  I am surprised at how much I actually did complete this year looking back since I assumed it would be around 20 or less.  Some of the games on the list were well worth the journey through whiles others were not (I'm looking at you LOTR Conquest with your near-broken gameplay etc).  My GOTY nominations will be coming up this week and if not this week, will be definitely the week after since I am off work thus will have plenty of time to do the videos.

Anyway, take care guys and have a happy 2010! Toodles.
