I want to buy either NCAA or Madden 08. I know they both have some different features, but I'm mainly interested in how good the game is when you're actually playing some football. From the gameplay videos, both games look very, very similar - is this the case?

If there are any major differences, do they make the game better or worse. I know Madden has the weapons thing, but is this good or bad.

I'd probably rather get Madden 08, but if NCAA has better gameplay, that's probably the deal breaker.Madden has higher gamerankings scores, but most user comments on all websites rank NCAA better, so I was wondering why this is. Generally it seems people feel Madden series is a bit stagnant and not going anywhere and that's why they disliked it. This is no issue for me as I haven't bought a Madden (or NCAA) game before, although I have played and enjoyed them before.

Thanks for any feedback.

Ah but if they didn't get things wrong, you wouldn't have had a topic to create! See they were thinking about you. They thought out beforehand - 'lets get the facts wrong, then xxNBxx can create a thread.

Haha swimming. Even better. Nice find.
I just found kayaking funny I guess because it is quite an odd suggestion to make.
Swimming is less pratical, but if you tell someone to get across a stretch of water, more people would automatically picture swimming than kayaking.
Of course a boat would be even better, or flying.

In Australia, Google just launched the Street View Photos for Google Maps. I believe there are a few funny pictures of people doing stuff in their day to day lives. So has anyone else seen any that they can post?

Here's a screenshot I took (albeit a while ago). Google Street View just reminded me about it so I thought I'd post it. I asked Maps for directions from the USA to Australia. Apparantely, step 30 is the quickest way to get there...

"Why does this sound like Terminator 2...?"
I was thinking the same thing. I was trying to remember their talk so I could reply like that. I think it went something like.
Terminator: Why do you cry
John Connor: Because it hurts
T: It is a reaction to pain?

I don't know, I think I am doing the film a disservice so I'll just stop now.

HAha that is actually very similar to the current state of affairs.
Still, I do think this time the criticisms may be a bit more fair. I'd personally leave the Blu Ray drive out of the equation, but I think arguments about ease of development, online and game selection are valid.
Still, that is pretty funny how the media portrayed the PS2 in its early days and yet the PS2 is one of the most successful consoles to date.

I've played it 11 times now, and I only fully grasped the story on about the 10th playthhrough. I say fully grasped, but if I played it again (and I will), I'd probably notice something new.
Once you've played MGS4, there are lots of small things in MGS2 that you will pick up (although I'm convinced Kojima hadn't thought that far ahead when he was making MGS2).
Especially things about Ocelot.
